A CM describes YOMD training and practice-run on his blog:

Interesting...so every ride has something every hour? Wow. I cannot WAIT until next week!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I really enjoyed reading his blog. I bookmarked it so I can read his updates.

Someone else posted a manuel from DL as well to for the CM's.

There's another thread going we're many people have already reported being the recipient of a "dream". Everything from getting free embroidery on hats, to front-of-the-line on attractions. This is going to be awesome and I'm so happy we will be there next week!!!

How cool!
Thanks so much.

tmt martins, do you know the DL CM website address?

I love to read these stuffs... :)

I have e-mailed this thread to friends who are going to WDW. It's interesting!

Thanks for the link.

Bobbi :)

The only "disturbing" part is to know that it is based on the CMs discretion, not some random selection process. So... those that go solo or just couples (adults) are likely to get looked over....

Maybe I'll be suprised...!

Sorry! The CM has contacted me and asked that the link be removed.

I'm sorry that I came too late to this thread. If anyone would send me a private message or e-mail with the link to this blog, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

I found the journal using a search.

I asked the blog to be removed because it was not intended to be posted on a large-hit forum such as this one.
I'm going to have to make this thing friends-only soon because LaughingPlace is now quoting directly on their front page.

:welcome: to the DIS.
I hope you will enjoy the DIS boards as much as I have.

I am sorry you feel you need to have your blog removed.

I did find your journal on my own when doing a google search.
Your writings are very interesting and I could your feel your joy and excitement. I think from just reading a couple of your entries that you going to be a very special CM and that you enjoy spreading pixie dust to others.

I hope you will continue to post on the DIS.
I have found these boards and the members to very helpful and friendly.

Thanks for continuing to bring the magic to others. :wizard:

is it too late to ask for the website by pm? Couldn't find it on LP. Thanks!

I enjoyed reading what I did read but I completely understand you wanting it more low-key. I too appreciate cast members like you. I think people are so interested in reading about your experiences because people like you are the reason we remember our trips so fondly. WDW without the CMs would just be a bunch of rides, it is truly the people that put in hours there that make it what it is.

Really, guys, I sincerely from the bottom of my heart appreciate your sentiments and you are exactly the type of people I like to read. But unfortunately what happened was someone on The Disney Blog, a division of The Laughing Place, decided to quote my journal directly on his front page along with a link. When that happened, there were literally hundreds and hundreds of hits which is exactly what I don't want. It is not that I'm scared of what I post (in fact, I make sure to only post opinions and feelings and never company or trade secrets), it's that it was strictly made for close friends, family, future college programers, and really interested guests who want a peek into the life of a CM. But that trust was broken when the link began to spread, particulalry because of the acts of The Disney Blog. It is no fault of the original poster who was simply one of the people I do like to read it.
Unfortunately now I will soon have to convert to Friends Only viewing soon since I'm having all these new people comment with "You're gonna get fired for this!!!" and people who tell me how I'm doing my job wrong. The truth is that I am so passionate about it that I write about it. Some of you understand what I mean, others don't ... and that's O.K. But I just need you guys to respect my own personal privacy when you get things like this. Toss 'em on your bookmarks by all means, but please remember I am an individual and one who is ridiculously passionate about a lifelong career with Disney. And when things get posted on the front page of big-hit websites like LaughingPlace and The Disney Blog, even with the best of intentions and without breaking any company policies, it becomes risky.
With that said, for those of you who would like a link feel free to PM me with just who you are and where you're from just so I can know a little about you. I like to know a little bit about all my readers and this mass-linkage only dampers my ability to do that.

Thanks for listening!

Very well said indeed!

I hope you continue to stick around the Dis boards Vemnox. It's great to hear from CM's, especially one with your enthusiasm. I really enjoyed reading your blog. :wave2:

Actually, I registered over 3 years ago - just kinda like to hide from the spotlight which is probably why this is so irking.
