YoHo, YoHo, A Mother's Day Trip to the Mouse!

We like to go to DTD on our down day. We sleep late and then head over. It will be hot so you may end up spending more time at the pool. I have always felt kinda funny walking around the resorts for some reason. It is like they know I am not staying there.... I know Disney encourages going to check out the resorts, I just feel strange. We have 2 reservations at the GF and I can't wait to check it out. I have been to the Poly and CR. I WILL stay in these places one of these day.

If you have a car you can drive over and go to City Walk at US. I like to walk aroung there too. You will have to pay for parking but CW is free.

I think it's awesome that you scheduled in a down day on your first trip! I didn't do that and by the end of the week, it was the one thing I wished I had done!

I think hanging by the pool and exploring DTD can definitely fill a day. Explore the resort, maybe go to POR and take the boat to DTD. You will be so glad you took a day to recharge!

Oh, we can take a boat to DTD from POR, I did not know that, that sounds awesome. I gotta write that down so I do not forget to do that.

I found the phone number to call for more info on renting the boats in DTD, so i'll post that info when I call.

My subscription to touringplans just ran out, shoot!!! Can someone tell me what the new crowd levels are for May 12-19 now. I just went to check them out since I heard about the changes, and didn't realize mine ran out. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out if I should switch some days around because of this. Is anyone else doing any switching? OR are you keeping your schedule as is and hoping for the best?

We've never had a problem with crowds and I'm hoping they just have a new guy doing the crowd calendar and he doesn't know what he's doing!!!

We've never had a problem with crowds and I'm hoping they just have a new guy doing the crowd calendar and he doesn't know what he's doing!!!

WHY OH WHY are the crowd levels so CRAZY!!! My Dreams Unlimited lady says MK is the preferred park for the 19th, which is where we're going. It's not on the best or the worst, it doesn't have EMH, just open 9-9....we only had an 8 the friday before MLK day, I can't IMAGINE a TUESDAY being worse then that!! UG!!!

This is our World Showcase day at Epcot!

We'll get in some pool time, and head over to Epcot around 1 or 2pm. We'll be staying until close for Illuminations!


We'll head into the WS, and we know we want to do the Kimpossible Adventure, that sounds so cool. And we'll check out all of the countries, and do some shopping! I was just looking at pictures of this years Flower and Garden Festival, Oh, it looks so pretty! I know we want to eat dinner at Cantina de San Angel. And if we eat lunch there when we first arrive we'll either eat at Liberty Inn or Yakitori House(this one looks yummy to me) Lunch will depend on if we can hold out until we get to Epcot, we may need to eat at our foodcourt before we go though, we'll see. I can stuff the kids up on snacks that morning.
And Illuminations is at 9pm!

I'm thinking when we first get there, seeing how I don't think we'll need 8 hours to tour the WS, we'll breeze through FW and do an attraction or two. I know this will depend on the lines, it will be mid afternoon, so I don't know. If not that's ok, we have a seperate day put aside for FW, in which we'll be getting there very early! But we'll at least take a walk through and check it out, this will be our first ever time at Epcot, so I'm sure I won't want to rush right through to WS!

Emily is most looking forward to this day, she cannot wait to tour the world showcase and see France! She wants to buy souveniers there with the Eiffel tower on it.

Ok, so what is the best place to watch Illuminations from?

I WAS VERY CONFUSED, I HAD TO LOOK BACK INTO MY POSTS, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO SAY DAY 6

DAY 6 PLANS
Today is our second Magic Kingdom Day!!!
I would like to be at Rope Drop on this wonderful day!!! I really want to see that. The kids will love it.
On our 1st MK day we would have started in Fantasyland and headed over to Fontierland and adventureland.
So this day will be started out, again, heading into Fantasyland doing our favorites and anything we didn't get done the first time.
Then we will go over to Toontown. Goofy's Barnstormer is on Lizzie's must do list, mine too! And of course Donald's boat, Mickey and Minne's house, and the Tent there(forgot the name of it) to see some characters.
Lunch at Cosmic Rays!!
This is where I will plan for our mid day break. If we're not ready for that quite yet, we'll go into tommorowland and get started with a few attractions.
We'll go back to the hotel, rest, take a swim.
THEN, FOR THE NIGHT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, IT'S BACK TO THE MK FOR NIGHTTIME EMH UNTIL MIDNIGHT!!!! THE KIDS ARE GOING TO HAVE A BLAST!!!
We'll start off in Tommorowland. Buzz lightyear's space ranger spin is one of my must dos.
I really want to see the Monster's inc laugh floor too.
The tommorowland indy speedway is Anthony's must do here.
After we finish up here, we'll head back over to the other side of the park, and do whatever we didn't get to do here on our first night.
We will absolutely be doing Haunted Mansion again!!!!! That's for sure!!!
Somewhere in between here we'll eat dinner. I'm thinking El Pirata y el Perico for Tacos!!!
(Wishes is at 9pm)
And the park is open until 12am. This is going to be so much fun!!!!

I was thinking about telling my kids that "I"m so sorry we cannot go to Disney" and letting them think about for a second and then saying April Fools, but then I said that is too mean!!
Lizzie is going to driver her teacher nuts in school today, she has been at it all morning. Let's see the last thing she got me with on her way out the door was. "look out Mom, there's a talking calendar behind you" Yeah, she's been waiting for this day. She plans on telling her friends that they have something in their hair or on their shirts.......
I have to work today, so i'm sure i'll hear some good ones.

Day 5 sounds good. I love night EMH. Morning EMH only last 1 hour so to me that isn't much extra....lol.

I hate April Fools Day. I am so glad I am off work today.

We are doing evening EMH at MK for the first time this trip as well. I am so excited about it I can't even tell you!!

Your plan looks good. Are you doing Wishes or Spectro that night?

So funny about Lizzie and April Fool's Day! My boys used to get me every year with the duct tape around the kitchen sink sprayer! I am so onto them now!

mommytothreeboys, yes, we are going to watch Wishes , I didn't see Spectro listed for this night, but I did print out the schedule a month ago. Oh, i'm going to double check the website tonight when I get in from work. I was really bummed about missing specto, who knows, maybe they added to one of the days i'm going to be there.
