I just got off the phone with DVC Linda and she sent me pre-approval letters. She thinks we may be able to qualify!!!!! We are going to use the Magical Beginnings to help with the larger donwpayment we may need. I can't wait to see if it works out.
We haven't even toured the place, but we are ready to sign! LOL
We will be there in April, but if this is what we want, we want to be able to go.......
Curious tho, has anyone ever bought sight unseen??????

Plenty of people have bought sight unseen. In this day and age you can see thousands of pictures of the DVC resorts on the internet so many people feel like they know them before they stay in them.

Good luck with the whole process and keep us posted.

Congrats!! I hope this works out for you. We bought sight unseen and have never been disapponted!!

We bought when DVC first opened. I jsut heard there was a Disney Timeshare and I wanted it. We had been to many time share presentations and said if anyone could make a time share that was run like Disney that's when we would buy. I don't remember how we found out Disney was actually involved in Time share vacations but we did somehow,it was 12 years ago and I don't even remember yesterday much less that long ago, and we called. We got a nice young salesman(guide) Randy Krueger. The whole concept was new, points and all, never heard of such a thing. Randy just told us about the Vacation Club slowly for about an hour. We didn't even have a picture or a document to look at but we knew it was Disney so it had to be good. We agreed to buy 230 pts, a minimum then, and really put our trust in this unseen Disney "guide" on the phone. When we went down to the site, it was not finished yet, we couldn't believe it. The rooms, the furnishings, the pools, the buses, and the staff were all five star. We have 1000 pts now at three separate resorts and tell everyone that we single- handedly made Randy a wealthy man. We trusted in the product because it was Disney and have never been sorry yet.

Good luck with your decision. We had toured in 1993 and timing was not right. Got offer this past summer for AKL stay if you take tour. Signed up and bought two contracts (one BCV direct and one OKW resale before ever going on trip. Went on tour to meet our guide and bought add-on.

We did. We had driven past BWV once, and thought it looked great. Bought in 1999 sight unsen, and haven't regretted it for a minute! :D

There are a lot of us that bought site unseen. I was ready to sign the paperwork at BCV when they announced they were building it, they hadn't even broken ground yet. When they did start pre-sales of BCV back in February, 2001 when I bought, they had started building it, but it was not even done being built, we bought over the phone, so that was sight unseen.

Several people buy sight un-seen so that they can stay at their "home" the first time they go down, instead of spending cash to stay at a Disney resort and then buy while there, they just use the money they would have used for accomidations as their down payment and then stay at their "home" for that trip.

We bought 2 add-ons at HH and I have never even been to Hilton Head. I sure hope to one day, until we can part with Disney World, we will just continue to use of HH points there.

We bought our OKW resale and BCV addon sight unseen and were not disappointed!:D
