my guess would be a hearing impaired room.Ok all you Boardwalk fans. I came across a room that looks to have a doorbell on the Fith Floor, far end Room 5008.
Any ideas as to what the button is?
That makes sense. I have just never seen that before..my guess would be a hearing impaired room.
In the Presidential Suite, I believe the doorbell was a set of chimes to “Under the Sea”.Not positive it was BWV but we have stayed at at least one DVC resort with a door bell.
When pressed it ding and the lights flash.
Stooppp! I love thatIn the Presidential Suite, I believe the doorbell was a set of chimes to “Under the Sea”.
The Inkeeper’s were pretty excited to see our reaction when they walked us to the room.Stooppp! I love that
For a September stay, especially early September, you shouldn't have much trouble at 11 months, especially if you're okay with Preferred (Pool/Garden) view and not set on Resort view or BW view. There are a lot more P/G view studios than the other two views, but that doesn't mean you won't get lucky and get Resort (cheaper) or BW (gorgeous) view!Anyway, our goal is to take our son on his first visit in September 2026. Hoping to stay in a Studio for a week. How likely are we to find a studio at the 11-month window for this time frame?
That is weird. I wonder whether the availability charts are still influenced by the BWV refurb issues in 2023, where parts of the resort (BW view wing) were refurbed, reopened and then closed again for more work to be done. It really messed things up, so depending on how far back the availability charts are looking to create the average, it might have some influence. It is also a little weird that on the studios, in particular the Garden/Pool view mostly, there is limited availability at 11months, and then at 10 and 9 months there it shows a little more. It goes from red, to orange or even yellow.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any 2BR Village Green views - just dedicated studios and 1br.We are right at 10 days out from a 2br pool/garden room.
Thinking about if I need to put in a room request, but have no idea what to request having never stayed here.
Only preference I would have would to not be ground floor, but are there any good suggestions for what to request beyond that?
Edit - duh should have read last post, that sounds like a good one to request view of village green.

I hope you have a fantastic stay!Ok, I did higher floor view of luna park pool for a request. Peeped a few rooms around that area on TP and its a nice view, not worried about noise level so that wont be an issue.
Thanks for the info @AstroBlasters and @CarolynFH !
As mentioned just a few posts above, look at touringplans.comI just reserved a 1 bedroom for my sister, my mom and me. It is a 24 hour trip to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday. (She is 30 years younger than me). My Mom is in her 80's so mobility is a little bit of an issue along with the July heat. We are definitely going to recommend she rent a scooter. But she wants to come so I am not going to say no.
The category I reserved is the pool/garden view but I did waitlist the Boardwalk view. Is there a request I can put in for the p/g view that is best as far as proximity towards walking to Epcot or boat transportation?
