DH got the dolphin for Wed-Sat and will stay at the Hilton our last night Sunday (Dolphin is totally booked for Sunday)! Not thrilled about changing resorts but I think it will be worth it & we are renting a car so that will make it easier.

Thanks for all the great advice!

Glad to see you got what you wanted! I was trying for the same time frame, using Starwood cash & points, but not able to get Oct. 20 either. I know that they release rooms that have been set aside for conventions, etc. 30 days out, so you may want to try again for that last night over the next couple of days.
Good luck

Since you are checking in prior to the UNAVAILABLE day, you may be able to stay through Sunday. We had friends at the Dolphin this past summer, and they had to reserve two separate stays due to SOLD-OUT nights reflecting no rooms available. They made a reservation at the AKL for the interim dates. Once they checked into the Dolphin, I instructed them to call/visit the front desk and inquire about the "unavailable" days. I explained it would be very unlikely the Dolphin would make them "check-out" and the "check-in" due to these circumstances. I was indeed correct. SOLD-OUT/BOOKED never means 100%, literally. Every property must "hold" a certain amount of rooms for VIPS, emergencies, etc., and also experiences last-minute CANCELLATIONS. After you have checked into the WDW Dolphin, I strongly suggest you contact the front desk regarding your situation. You will more than likely be able to remain in the Dolphin your entire stay. :)

Golfwidow,
I'm so glad you switched to the DOLPHIN! I agree with DF, check at the front desk for your last day. I'm betting they won't make you checkout either. I hope you can get a refund from the day you have reserved at the Hilton (if you get lucky)? Let us know how it goes! Happy planning!

When DH talked to the travel company (though his company) they were able to book all nights at the Dolphin with no problems and a MUCH cheeper rate than the websites - I am bursting I am so excited!!!

Just out of curiousity....

I have been hearing about some really awesome rates at the Swan & Dolphin...where does everyone go to get these great rates?? I have looked and can only find $500/night rates. Where can I go for a better deal?

Thanks!!
