Yikes! Vistaprint..... anyone use them and have something GOOD to say?

Yesterday I stumbled upon the website and made what appeared to be amazing photo Holiday cards at an incredible price. I was so thrilled with my 5 x 7 folded cards and showed it to DH online when he came home.

His response?

"You ordered from Vistaprint? They're AWFUL! Just wait til you see the horrible quality when they arrive!"

Ack!

Apparently he ordered cards there last year for his business and he was appalled by the result. I never saw them so I have nothing to go by...

But then I googled vistaprint experiences and let's just say nobody seemed to have anything nice to say and the biggest complaint on top of that seemed to be getting your email box loaded with spam and also getting unspecified charges to your credit card at a later date...

Oh boy. So much for a good deal, eh? Does anyone have anything POSITIVE to say about them??? I have to wait 2 weeks to see if my cards are ok when they arrive (oh the wait!!!) and I have a back-up set to go through Shutterfly
if they really are awful.

So much for a bargain if you have to order cards twice

I LOVE VistPrint! I place an order with them at least once a week for my home office. I have ordered pretty much every product they offer...

Note cards, invitations, postcards, christmas cars etc all come out great (I always choose the glossy finish).

Hats and t-shirts are the nice thick type with good quality graphics.

Business cards, magnets, pens, address labels and post its have all come out great too ( I do prefer their premium business cards, but only for the huge selection of themes).

I have alwyas had fast shipping even though I choose the cheepest type each time.

and I've been quite pleased with my orders....I've ordered the magnetic car door signs, note pads, sticky notes, hats and business cards.
The door signs were for my DSIL - for his side lawn business...I ordered these last year and again this year. After a year out in the Texas heat and the winter weather, they started to peel abit...but for $8.00 - what the heck!
I like the way I was able to get the free matching items with my order too.
I got note pads for my daughter and her children and things like that. I ordered the magnetic sign for a friend who was going on a Disney cruise for her door and used the "hand with the sunbeam on it"...I added Tinkerbell and had something like "capturing the "Magic" for the words with their last name.
I am very pleased with my orders...if I get spam...well it goes to my spam box and gets dumped....I've never seen any other charges on my account.
Let us know when you get your order - I think you'll be okay.

I do get several emails from them BUT all the items I have ever ordered have been GREAT.
I have sticky notes, business cards, note pads, T-shirt,postcards, and yes I even ordered Christmas cards last year and I was THRILLED with them.

I have NEVER had an issue with charges that were not supposed to be there.


I will use them again and would this Christmas if the money was not so tight this year.

I love Vista Print too. I've ordered invitatations, business cards, and postcards. They were very nice, especially with the price!

We ordered save the dates from them, and they were pretty decent quality.

But, those unspecified charges are true. About 6 months after we ordered, DH noticed some unknown charges on his debit card. He called the bank, and they said it was from some subscription linked back through Vista Print. They'd been charging him for 3 months to a subscription to his website and some other RANDOM website (apparently, a business partner.) It ended up being close to $100.00; his bank (Chase) filed a claim through Vista Print and we were refunded our money.

DH had to cancel that debit card, order a new one, etc. It was a HUGE pain in the rear-end. They're cheap, but stay away! It's better to spend more money somewhere else and not find yourself in a spot like we were!!!

I have ordered things from them in the past and been very pleased with what I received. Yes, about the e-mail from them - lots and lots (I just mark their stuff as spam and then change it when I have an order being processed).

I have only ordered address labels from them and I loved them! They accidentally placed my order twice and charged me twice, but I called right away and they immediately refunded my credit card, but I still got both orders for the price of 1!

The only thing wrong with the address labels was that I lost them, both orders! No clue where I put them in my house. So I ordered some more and they were on sale for 79 cents for a pack of 140.

I order from Vistaprint all the time and have never had the subscription issue and LOVE the quality of my orders! I give them as gifts and keep them for myself! I think you will be happy with them. They do try to get you to order extra things in the check out so just be careful that none of it is checked!

I ordered business cards through them with no problems. They looked great, and I've had no issues with unauthorized charges. I have a junk email account that I use for stuff just like this, so I have no clue how much junk mail I've gotten because of ordering through them.

I have to agree with your DH, I ordered some a few weeks ago and was very disappointed with the quality. I couldve printed something much better here at home. But I have to also say, I got what I paid for. It was dirt cheap ($6.00 for 10 picture cards) and now I know why

I use them all the time and love them... NO issues... I get tee's, cards, lables, hats, car mags, everything you can think of!!! Love them

I have used VistaPrint twice, for photo Christmas cards last year and then invitations to my DD's First Communion this past spring. Both times the results were GREAT, no complaints whatsoever! I would not hesitate to use them again.

In reading through the responses, it seems there are far more people who are happy with them than unhappy with them, so hopefully your order will be fine.

DH ordered business cards from them--2000 of them because they did such a great job!! They are shiny and full color and he loves them. I just ordered holiday cards from them this week becuase we've had such great service from them. They also ship really fast!!! He had all his cards within a week!!!

I love VistaPrint. Just got 2 photo calendars, 3 personalized sticky notes for teachers and address labels for $40 shipped. Not bad I say since walmart wants $16 for just 1 calendar! Might need to order another calendar - the kids loved the one I made for the grandparents and they want one!
