My DU agent got my fantasmic package PS time today - and could only get 4pm at Brown Derby! That is crazy early, it's not even dinner time, more like late lunch for goodness sake.

I already told him that I'll be holping for a later time when they open up eventually.

Why does Disney insist on doing his for the dinner package? It makes no sense to me at all, and seems very unfair. I mean, in July Fantasmic is going to be on at 9pm so why offer such stupid times?

I too was given a 4:00 time but I just got a call from the pre-planning office the other day and was told they got us a later time.. 6:20p... Thank God! The last thing I want to do is eat at 4 in the afternoon when the show starts at 9p.

Good Luck!

HI! We are going in June and when I called a couple of weeks ago I was giving a 4:30 time slot. The Cast Member suggested I call 30 days out and they would probably have some later times then. I guess they fill the early slots first and them open up more times. :earsboy:

I think you're right about them filling the early slots first. It just seems to me that it penalises those of us who make our PS's first, 90 days out. We should get the first choice of times - well that's what I think anyway. I don't see why latecomers should get the best times.

Anyway fingers crossed that I can get a later time around 30 days before :) . Otherwise I'm going to be hungry by the time Fantasmic begins and will need a second dinner!!!

We have a PS for HBD for FDP in July. Guess what our time is - you got it 4:00! I remember last year though and later times opened up as it got closer.

Maybe that's the plan... :teeth:

Call me crazy but I actually like the 4:00 time. We eat a late breakfast and then are really hungry for all the food they give you with the package. In the summer it is the perfect time to get out of the heat for an hour or so. Maybe someone could tell me when the parade is? If it is at 3:00 then this time would be great,if it is at 4:00 then I guess I will be changing the time with the rest of you!!!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Call closer to your date.

We originally had a 4:20pm PS at Mama Melrose at the 90 day mark for our trip next week. That is way to early for my family to eat dinner.

We called about 3 weeks from our PS day & was able to get a 6:30pm PS instead. Much better for us.

I dont know why Disney does that with the FDP. It is so silly that the open the PS at the 90 day mark, but then only give the really early seatings.

I think those of us who make our PS 90 days out we should get our pick of times. People who are trying to get PS closer or at the last minute should be the ones that get the "off" times.

For the benefit of those who don't (or maybe can't) make travel plans too far ahead of time, I can see saving some of the later time slots until 30 days out. Two of my trips to WDW have been made on short notice, one of them just 10 days ahead of time! I would have been quite disappointed to find I was completely shut out of reasonable dining times just because I was making a trip on short notice. However, it would be nice if they could implement some sort of compromise plan where some of the later times are available starting at 90 days so that when people do plan trips in advance, we don't all have to call twice for most of the PSs we make! You would think it would be to Disney's benefit as well (fewer calls to WDW-DINE).
