Flying down to DLR from Seattle and we were hoping to escape the rain. Guess not! I've been to WDW several times in the rain but not DLR. We'll put on our ponchos and brave it but would love your wet weather touring plan!

Do rides shut down in rain/thunder? Crowd levels..

Thanks!

Thanks!

It does look like rain. That could mean few crowds at all.

Some rides close, but not many. Almost every attraction is indoors.

•Alice in Wonderland
•Dumbo the Flying Elephant
•Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
•The Mad Tea Party
•Gadget's Go Coaster
•Parade Schedules
Disney California Adventure Park

•Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
•Show and Parade Schedules may change.

We did DL once when it was pouring! It was so fun to walk on almost everything.

We did Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Indy, then Fantasyland. By then we were SOAKED! So we hopped of to DCA. We did Playhouse Disney, Animation Studio, Turtle Talk, Muppets, & then Aladdin. We dried off pretty well after all those.

We braved the wet again and hopped. We did a few more rides but chickened out after that. We took all the wet and cranky kids back for a nap.

But it was a great few hours having the parks all to yourself except for those few other brave souls in ponchos.

I am nuts and actual love DLR in the rain. ;)
I make sure to have a hat on and not jeans. Few people in the parks, everything I want to ride is open (except Alice) and the park takes on a different feel.
As long as you are not afraid to be wet and don't try to run to get out of it. The ground can be slippery.
Luckily it is not too cold in SoCal generally so it is not freezing. But hot chocolate can help with any chill. :)

As long as it does not close down your favorite ride, it makes the lines shorter. Being from Woodinville myself, I understand the idea that vacation would bring different weather than what you have at home. But look at the bright side those webbed feet you have developed from living in the NW will give you an advantage over the others.

Hoping you find joy at DL tomorrow. Mike "go Falcons" Clark

raining right now! gahh . hope it doesn't get too much worse so you can fully enjoy your trip! we went once during the rain ... it's funny to see a sea of ponchos ! that day there was also an intense lightening storm. the park at night literally lit up like it was day time! scary stuff. some rides were closed .. dont remember what though. we still had a fun day but it's definitely a different disneyland experience!

It was POURING this morning. And it's raining right now not too far from DLR. I'm not at the Park, but it's a wet day in So Cal.

Did the OP bring it with them from WA? :upsidedow
