From this thread it appears Cirque lost it's top! Anyone heard anything from over at SSR???

I wonder if the buildings in construction were damaged?

It's sounding pretty nasty; this guy is staying at the Doubletree in DTD and reports one wall is missing off the hotel!

Wow... I think as the day goes on we'll hear more reports of damage. WDW might not have gotten off as easily as we thought.

I'm curious as to Universal and Sea World. I read on another thread they were hit more directly.

Hopefully someone at SSR could fill us in as soon as they get a chance. There is so much information trying to get out at the same time, it's hard to get a handle on it all.

Last night, News 2 Orlando had live webcasting thru the night, which I was watching. It went directly over Seaworld/Universal from the sound of things. You could tell where the eye was as they kept losing the cams they use to track the highway one by one. And before they lost the one at I-4/Universal drive it was VERY scary looking, much worse than the one at I-4/World Drive was.

Atlanta is having unusually cool and beautiful weather right now. I don't know if it is due to Charley or what, but I need to get the kids outside.

I hope Sea World wasn't completely ruined. We were there last month for the first time since I was a little kid and I was surprised with how beautiful the place was. I guess they put all their animals inside, too?

I hope someone from SSR reports in soon! I also guess this would be very close to OKW?

'Morning Shan! Yes, I think I've been following around the boards here this morning. This whole thing is just incredible! I was hoping to get on the boards last night but we were at a going away party for the in-laws. They sold there has up here and are moving to their house in Naples, Fl (!) this weekend. Needless to say we were all watching the weather channel more than we were partying!

I hope all the DIS'ers are safe and can check in with us soon. I keep scouring the different threads to see who has been able to check in so far. I'm concerned with the construction projects, especially my new 'home' SSR! Everyone stay safe!!

Are you guys able to get thru to the SSR Resort to see what they are telling Guests right now about impending arrivals, etc.? If you get thru to them, please report back.

I just read a news report that said they were moving all the guests at FW to other resorts. Sounds like thats the only place where there is real concern.....should be interesting.
