Yikes, gas hit $3.79 for regular!

Hit $3.79?? We've been paying that forever in CA. And that's for regular, my BFF drives an Audi, she puts premium in her tank, it's either at or over $4 per gallon right now. Gas prices are ridiculous!

We had been down around $3.50ish and it just took a big jump. It's always something dang it! I have to start driving an extra 160 miles a week next week for school I was hoping gas would go down a bit.

Ours has come down; we use to be in the $3.50-$4.00 range but the last time I filled up it was down to $3.07. Hopefully it keeps going down.

Around here it was down to 3.19 it is now around 3.39 to 3.49

According to GasBuddy.com , Michigan is one of those states which bears watching -- as it is a "Speedway" state, meaning the Speedway chain of gas stations/c-stores are generally the first ones to hike gas prices...

Regular unleaded actually was down to $2.999 at a couple of ARCO stations in mid to late December. It was $3.20 the other day.

Most of the stations are $3.25 to $3.50 as of yesterday.

I really wish they would eliminate the 9/10 of a cent. It made sense--sort of!--when gas prices were 17 cents per gallon and a fraction of a cent made a difference in the gas price wars, but it's rather absurd now! *LOL*

Did that date me? Just a bit?

BTW, that's in the Phoenix, AZ metro area.

Here in southern Michigan gas was $3.30 @ gal. this morning.
Tonight, $3.69!
It usually comes down a few cents at a time, but jumps up by $.25 or more.

Here in SW Connecticut we fluctuate between $3.69-3.99 for regular.
Something's gotta give!:sad2:

Oh no it's going up. They've been talking about it all day here. It was 3.28 when I left for work and a radio station was talking of it being 3.59. Luckily the one station by me that was 3.28 was still 3.28 when I got home while all around was 3.59. It was a zoo but I lucked out zipping into a just vacant pump and getting out without waiting in line. They're saying $4.50 for spring :-( NE OH

The last time I filled up it was 2.93 (two weeks ago). Now I'm at a 1/4 tank left and its around 3.23

gas in my little town in NE alabama had gotten as low as $3.04 a couple of weeks ago, then it jumped up to $3.19 week before last, and $3.30 last week! i managed to fill up last week for $3.19 by finding a station that hadn't raised prices yet, but this week is going to hurt! if gas doesn't come down soon, i won't be able to afford to drive to my new job!

IMO it's all political and the price is going to be on a steady rise until the November elections. It will tank the economy again and crush consumer confidence numbers.

Well I looked up gas stations around me on gas buddy and it seems gas prices continue to get lower; what was $3.07 last week is now $2.93.

Of courses in the past I have noticed during election years our gas prices steadly get lower until about a week after the election and then they sky rocket back up ;)

I will be gassing up tomorrow. I have 1/4 tank left and if it's going to be on the rise, I want to get it now while it's $3.21.

Wow, the lowest price I have seen here was last week at $3.86 for regular.

Yuk!! Sorry prices went up just as you have to start driving extra miles! :(

I say this all the time, it's just dumb now. lol We watched Die Hard the other day, I was watching and suddenly burst out laughing....DBF asked what my issue was, I paused the DVD and made him look, gas price was something like 97 cents a gallon.....Man, those were the days!

that's standard around here. I was all excited because a couple weeks ago it was "down" to $3.29/3.39 for regular unleaded.....I wanted to cry for joy, now it's back up to $3.59/3.69 a gallon and I want to cry because I'm sad. lol I did find it for $3.49 at an ARCO last night in Sac, that said I was super glad I had my scary intimidating looking biker friend with me because there was a guy filling up his pretty nice (and looked pretty brand new) Nissan Murano who had on yellow plastic gloves and was digging through the garbage cans looking for plastic, glass and cans to trade in for recycling and immediately upon using the pay point station he and I turned around and some guy was asking for spare change! It was not a gas station in a part of town I would have stopped in had I been alone. LOL Left my other friend (his girlfriend) in the car and locked her in....LOL He stood with me while I pumped gas, I only put in $20 and couldn't wait to get out of there. It was :scared1: and I was very glad he was there. LOL
