Hello everyone!I'm just back from Disney and this trip I decided to finally ride Expedition Everest!:woohoo: Well throughout the week, I rode it 7 times and many will be happy to know that the yeti was working every time I rode. I was too scared to look at the yeti but my parents were all excited!:cool1: Hopefully it won't break again:crutches: and they have finally got him to cooperate!:cheer2::cheer2:

Cool! I hope he's still working when we go in March! I have never seen it work yet!!!!:rolleyes1

I'll be there in 3 weeks. I REEEEEALLY hope it works this time. I've never seen it in action:(

I rode EE on Friday September 30th and it wasn't working. Only in strobe mode. It was however in a lower position but definitely not moving.

So you're saying the strobe light effect is gone, it's lit as it was a few years ago and the Yeti actually moves toward you when riding?

It was in 'disco strobe' mode when I rode it last week.

This has 0 percent chance of being true.

The yeti has such serious structural damage that it's risky to even work on it at this point.

Ah wait... new user. I see. Nevermind.

OK I have to ask, have you ever seen it working in A mode (full motion)?

Many people who have seen Disco Yeti swear on their grandmother's grave that it really did move. But others who have ridden it a ton of times will post that no it did not move.

It was doing it's DISCO dance when I saw it about 2 weeks ago.

Hmmm interesting I rode on October 1st and he was working. I don't know maybe it's the luck of the draw whether he will be working or not. All I can tell you is when I rode he was completely working, and I hope they wouldn't test something like that with people on the ride:scared1:

On Thursday it was very much still in Disco-Yeti mode.

Doesn't make me love EE any less though. :thumbsup2

I think people 'think' he's moving because of the disco effect and the rate of motion of the coaster going by.

Um, how do you know it was working if you didn't look at it?

Have you ever seen the Yeti in A mode (where the arm actually swings at you?) There is no way that they were running the ride in A mode- there is too much damage that it becomes a liability to run it in A mode.

You probably saw it in B mode (disco betty mode). Between the strobe light and how fast you're moving, it looks like the yeti is charging you.

Periodically people come through and say it is working, but that never turns out to be the case. Thing hasn't worked in I don't know how long.

Either Disney doesn't want to bother fixing it or they set something up that they can't fix. Either way, it is so pathetic.

My mom and dad rode it when it was working in the beginning and after it broke and they both said it was working when I rode it. I am really sorry if they were mistaking but i honestly truly thought that he was working. I really hope my parents were right though

They already said they didn't look at it.

I would safely bet that you're seeing Disco Yeti. It gives the illusion that it's moving. If you've never seen it in A mode, you're more likely to be convinced that it's working as intended. I was at AK on 10/1...it was definitely disco dancing.

It's okay if you're wrong. Happens all the time.

If you're right, that would be awesome news!

But we see a lot of people who rode and thought that it was fixed when it wasn't, so we don't get our hopes up on this one any longer. Another way to say that is, "We've lost all faith in Disney and are convinced they won't fix it."
