Okay, here is the scenario: All opinions wanted
I can get Delta for $310 ea RT from Reno to Orlando and Back. has anyone ever been on those 18 row or so planes. I can opt for a return thru Salt Lake which gets us home earlier in the Eve (all are going to school the next day) but it is on one of those smaller planes
Or
I can get home later and come all the way on 757's after a stop in Atlanta.
Next question:
I have been flying SW for so long that to go to a "full Service" carrier is foreign to me. Do they offer meals & movies? When I see the seating charts that are available, can I pick any of the seats available?
Are the seats on the larger 757's not the turbo props the same size as those on SW, same width for my big bottom and same amount of leg room?
Due to the bankruptcy issue, if schedules change, does the airline notify me?
Is going e-ticket or ticketless the same thing and is it a hassle?
I feel like such an idiot not knowing this, but like I said living here in Podunck SW is usually the cheapest way to get anywhere.
Thanks,
MamaCatNV

Thanks for the tips - I mentioned the turbo prop plane tonight at dinner, and due to the entire families reaction
, we will be returning slightly later, on a bigger airplane!
) I would do anything to avoid changing planes in Atlanta. I haven't stopped there since 1984, but I can't see that it's gotten any less large, or that it takes less time to get from one gate to another. Turbo props are fine.
whimpy, Xanax eating while consuming alcohol (only the adults, put the flame throwers away) flyers that we are, the bigger the better when it comes to a plane. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the cropdusters oops I mean the jets that come out of SLC to Reno, but if you had seen the pure terror on my families face when I mentioned it last night you would understand why we are looking to see if Reno can expand their runway to accomodate a 747 by December!
and you will be fine!
