Hey,

We're going to WDW next Wednesday :cool1: and I finally got around to looking at the Tour and Quest cheat sheet. The page at:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=845021
is laid out in a confusing way. :confused3 like all the Quest are not together and all the Tours questions are not marked as VIP Insider Tour.

I thought there were only 4 Quest:
*Adventureland
*FroniterLand
*Fantasyland
*Tomorrowland

I have some more questions that I hope you wonderful people can answer, you all know so much more then I can hope to:
1) One: I see there are 2 different quests for Disneyland and Disney World, no one mentioned that before in all the threads I have read.
*I see 2 sets of answers for Frontierland, Adventure, Fantasy and Tomorrowland for the 2 different parks.
* Then I see 2 sets of answers for Hanunted Mansion. This is another quest or part of the VIP Insider Tour?

2) Then there is ONE set of answer for Pirates; is this a Quest or part of the VIP Insider Tour? The answers are the same for both parks?

3) Then there is a set of answers called "Some WDW Tour Trivia" which seems to be general questions about the park/history. But I see no Q&A for the Jungle Cruise. Is there one; or are just the couple of question in the "Some WDW Tour Trivia" covers the Jungle Cruise as well?

4) there is two different answers for the names of the Trains:
*Hearty, Courageous, Darling, I.B. Brave and R.U. Loco
~~~then ~~~~
U.B. Bold, U.R. Daring, U.R. Courageous, I.M. Brave, I.B. Hearty and I.M. Featless.
5) I have a coupon for the tent room but it was printed when my computer was running low on black ink, so while the coupon is prefectly readable the ink at the top of the page is pure black ink then it starts to turn brown-ish near the bottom. Do you think they will make a fuss over it?
I've been up all night re-reading threads that mention the Quests and the Tour but I didn't see the answers to the above questions.
The Questions are different for both parks. I made the mistake of printing out the Tomorrowland Quest for DLR and they would not accept it but gave me one for WDW. I went to my hotel and had them copy it a few times.
* Then I see 2 sets of answers for Hanunted Mansion. This is another quest or part of the VIP Insider Tour?
The Haunted Mansion is a quest that you only get on the tour. You will need the WDW answers.
2) Then there is ONE set of answer for Pirates; is this a Quest or part of the VIP Insider Tour? The answers are the same for both parks?
Pirates is only at DLR right now and even if they add the quest to WDW the answers will not be the same.
3) Then there is a set of answers called "Some WDW Tour Trivia" which seems to be general questions about the park/history. But I see no Q&A for the Jungle Cruise. Is there one; or are just the couple of question in the "Some WDW Tour Trivia" covers the Jungle Cruise as well?
People posted what they would remember for trivia. Eash guides does it differently I had one guide that went right from the book and another one that made up his own. The trivia is not high pressure they help people with the answers and even if you know all the answers you will probsbly only get one extra card if the tour is full. They don't let on person walk away with all of the prizes.
Here is what I cen remember.
Question was how many animals are in the VMK JC answer 14
Question 4 of the parks have the JC 2 run counterclockwise and 2 run clockwise. Which 2 run clockwise answer Hong Kong and Paris
Question which areas in the VMK JC are humerous answer the Apes Tearing up the camp and the animals running a buy up a pole
What is the first animal you see in the JC answer butterfly
That is all I can remember.
4) there is two different answers for the names of the Trains:
*Hearty, Courageous, Darling, I.B. Brave and R.U. Loco
~~~then ~~~~
U.B. Bold, U.R. Daring, U.R. Courageous, I.M. Brave, I.B. Hearty and I.M. Featless.

I have no idea as we didn't even do this on our quest. If you have the guide Steve he skips the railroad part. He did on my tour and he did on someone elses so I am guessing it is his pattern.

5) I have a coupon for the tent room but it was printed when my computer was running low on black ink, so while the coupon is prefectly readable the ink at the top of the page is pure black ink then it starts to turn brown-ish near the bottom. Do you think they will make a fuss over it?

They don't care about anything except if the bar code will scan. If it will not scan they will not give you the card.

I was pretty stressed about having all of the information before I went and I printed out the entire thread and brough it with me on the tour. I didn't need it except to check my Haunted Mansion answers Steve would only give us one card and said you could not change answers and he was the type of person not to let you. I did not care for him at all. He treated this like the cards were his money.

Are you going to the MNSSHP? You get an extra set of quests for each ticket. But the booth is not open during the party hours so you have to use the ticket earlier in the day. I cleaned up as we went to the party three times. We had to booked and loved it so much we went back for a third time.

I am sorry you found my post confusing. Could you help me by explaining why you think it is laid out in a confusing way so I can try and make it less so.

The names of the six trains are: U.B. Bold, U.R. Daring, U.R. Courageous, I.M. Brave, I.B. Hearty and I.M. Fearless.

I have changed that the Hearty, Courageous etc was from an answer given early on and I should have checked the info sorry.

Thanks

Hi Mal,

First, thanks for everything you do and all the hard work to go to for us.

I don't have the time to go over everything I had a question about (another sleepless night of trying to get things done, printed, planing surprises, packing,a very sick husband and facing having the idea of having to cancel the trip due to a stupid cold) but it took me 3 hours to go through all the wonderful info you have on your thread and to figure out how I needed to re-sort it for my use in the Florida Disney park, maybe I'm just thick. :rotfl2:

Here is 1 thing I had a question on:
* near the top of the thread in the section called: IN PARK CODES for Item Purchases
it says:
"5 - Disneyland Retro Penny Press (Purchase candy at the Pooh Corner Honey Spot in Critter Country"
I don't think is a Critter Country at the Florida park but it isn't labeled "disneyland only".
* I can't find the name of the candy shop in WDW to buy the candy and get the penny press, but I thought I remember reading it somewhere but can't find it now.

I am so Jealous of you cat_herder! I am not allowed to go to WDW or DL Cali for a long long time! (i am too young to go by myself, and my parents won't take me after being at WDW last summer) If you wouldn't mind, can you do a couple of extra quests for me? PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ! Oh and PLZ!

I am just a poor DISer who needs help :cold: lol (I don't need a VIP code, someone gave that to me. Nor do I want anything that I need you to buy in order to get a code for: It's not far that I force you to buy something with real money)

Oh Lisa, thank God!. I thought it was just me. I sat here last night and cried over this stupid thing because I was getting really stressed out over having all the information with me and knowing I could NEVER remember everything.

My husband is willing to help me out with some things but he is not really "into Disney and all the fuss". There is just 2-3 things I REALLY want to get the cards for but having any of the rest would be nice too.

For the first time, I've actually been trying to "plan" the trip so I don't miss the 3-4 things in the park I want to see and do without forgetting them in the rush and excitement. I know I have to do them in the morning before my back gets too bad and by late afternoon I'm just looking for a place to sit down or lay down and wouldn't care if Mickey and Minnie were dancing on top of me as long as I can sit. :rotfl2:

I know already the VIP tour will be stressful on my back, because I'm sure they will want to rush from ride to ride I will have to be hurrying to catch up. Maybe I should mention I'm really short too. :rotfl2:

Don't stress! Oh my, but don't stress!

They will NOT "rush from ride to ride" -- it's a pretty leisurely stroll, and they stop along the way to tell you about things. There are only 3 rides to go on, and you have 2 hours to get to them!

As for the "too much information" part, just make sure you have a few things:
- the multiple-choice answers to the quests (Fantasyland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, and Haunted Mansion; or Pirates at DLR)
- remember to schedule your tour as soon after park opening as possible
- a print-out of the Tomorrowland quest (can't get it there)
- any printed out PDF's that you "won" online in VMK
- the short list of shops where you can buy real items to get code cards [e.g., hat (gold ears), pin at select locations (castle pin), candy (penny press), Splash Mt or BLAB picture (wanted poster, WDW only), magic trick (magic mirror, DLR only), etc.]
- remind yourself to create a character at VMK central (for black ears)

I wouldn't worry SO much about the trivia questions on the tour -- they try very hard to make sure that as many people as possible win *something* at least, and I think it's nice to give everyone a chance, rather than trying to answer all the questions. But, YMMV.

This will get you the majority of everything, relatively stress-free!

(This typed from the top of my head, so pardon if it's inaccurate or left some stuff out.)

The candy shop for the penny press is practically beside the country bear jamboree at WDW. The hat store is on Main St just past Tony's restaurant. The pin store is in Frontierland beside the shooting arcade. Hope that helps.

Again I have not been to WDW since VMK started so I only posted info that was posted by someone else when VMK was in beta....I will now add

posted by lovethattink:The candy shop for the penny press is practically beside the country bear jamboree at WDW. The hat store is on Main St just past Tony's restaurant. The pin store is in Frontierland beside the shooting arcade.

Until someone posts the exact names of the WDW stores.

thanks for pointing that one out to me.. don't stress and have a great time at WDW!

I'm using a map of the Magic Kingdom and Birnbaum's WALT DISNEY World book to get these names so I'm pretty sure they are accurate.

Wanted Poster - buy your picture at Splash Mountain or at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin; I can't tell for certain the names of the shops for these. Note: When we asked about the VMK prize card at Splash Mountain, the clerk asked us how many cards we wanted.

Red Penny Press - Frontierland's Prairie Outpost & Supply. Note: Our VIP tour guide gave one to each of us.

Virtual Pin - Frontierland's Frontier Trading Post. Note: Some clerks give you one card per pin purchased, others give you one card for the entire purchase.

Gold Mickey Ears - Main Street's The Chapeau. Note: They seem to give one card per item purchased.

Virtual Shirt - Fantasyland's Sir Mickey's. Note: We bought one shirt and the clerk asked how many cards we wanted.
