We are staying off-site. I am going to buy three day park hoppers tomorrow (@ local AAA store).
In WDW, we didn't EE. We probably will want to in CA. (Due to the two hour time difference we will be ready for EE.;))
What part of the park(s) is open for EE? Is it only Main Street? I'll ask when I buy the tickets if we get all three days as EE, or just one.
DH also wants to try for desset buffet. Wish us luck! :)
Anyone have any EE tips and tricks to share for first timers at DL/DCA?

Remember there is no EE on Wednesday and Sundays.

The areas that are usually open are Fantasyland and Tomorrowland...with a few attractions closed in each of these.

I don't know if there are specific rides and stores open, so I'll leave that to an expert. ;)

I copied this from someone else's post before our trip....

It also works out well to be there for the rope drop.
1. Do early entry...concentrate on Fantasy land
2. At 9:40 line up in front of Adventureland
3. When they drop the rope ride Indy
4. Get off of Indy and walk directly to Blue Bayou to make lunch reservations
5. walk to Splash mountain and get Fastpass,
6. walk to and ride big thunder mountain.

EE on Saturday, believe it or not, was 'dead'.....which was wonderful for us! :)

Have fun. :D :)

I agree with luvdsny totally. :D

You can easily do most, if not all, of Fantasyland during EE...and have time for a brick-sized cinnamon bun at the Main Street Bakery.

One of the best perks of EE is having a choice spot for the rope drop - -which gives you a HUGE advantage - and a head start - for INDY! On a good day, you can prolly ride it TWICE without more than a 10 minute wait.

BTW: There is no EE for DCA (ahem -- not that they need one or anything...)...and it's a great place to visit late in the afternoon or in the evening, because it is DESERTED. The one problem you might have is with the Grizzly Rapids Ride. By mid day, the FastPass wait can be two or three hours later, and the standby line can stretch for an hour or more.

(Personally, I sorta liked DCA, but there isn't a whole lot to do. You can count the worthwhile attractions on one hand. You can easily do it in half a day. Or less.)
