How easy is it to maneuver the strollers on the buses, monorails, train at magic Kindgom etc-will they even allow them? My DH and I have only been to Disney once and I dont' even remember seeing them on the buses. This will be our first trip with our boys-will be 5 1/2 and almost 3 then and I am a little nervous about all of the walking. I want them to have a good time. Our double jog stroller is pretty light and folds easily and holds I think up to 100# (my oldest is a bit of a "big boy"-about 70#, so I know we are sneaking up to the limit)-but if we can take it without it being a hassle, I think it would make life easier. I am not sure the rental ones would fit my oldest in it and that would be a bad situation as he is less of a walker than my youngest.::o

Bumping this up. I'd also like to know the weight limit on the double park strollers. I have two older boys but I'm sure the walking in the heat will wear them out. How much weight/height will a double accommodate? Thanks!

the park strollers are designed to take older children, so I am sure your eldest will fit without a problem.

You can take strollers on buses/monorail etc but if you have a double jogger then it's going to be VERY inconvenient, personally, I would only consider a double jogger if you have your own car and don't use Disney transport, as it is going to be very difficult to get on a bus during a busy time. I wouldn't try the monorail either, I would stick with the boat from the TTC.

I saw a few people with double joggers last week, but they were all walking from the car to the park and not using the trams.

I have to say that I can't imagine taking my 6 year old for a long walk, and she gets pretty 'tired' at the shops, but she never once noticed all the walking at Disney World, it's not like going for a hike, it's much more subtle because you are only walking a short distance at each time. I would be inclined to take a single for the baby and let the older boy ride in it if necessary (even if he is over the limit, I think these stroller's can take the occassional larger child if necessary) - if he needs a stroller more often then you can always rent.

We just got back with 6 year old and baby, the 6 year old walked and the baby has quite a large umbrella stroller - I had planned to rent for the 6 year old if needed but we never did - she did have a couple of rides in the babys strollers late at night, with either the baby in a sling, or else she perched in front of the baby in the single.

The weight limit on a rental double is 100 lbs. So two 50 lb children, or a 60 and a 40, or one 100 lb child. With two 60ish lb kids - I think I'd have them take turns. They could both probably fit without breaking the stroller, but it would be too tight for comfort for them.

Height, I don't know. My torso is less than a foot too tall (yep, I tried - I'm also a little over the weight limit - 135 lbs - and I didn't hear any stress sounds) - my torso is about 38 inches (I'm 5'7"). So if your kid is about 24" - possibly a little taller - head to hips, they'd probably fit.

The WDW strollers come in several differnt sizes. CMs have posted at various times that the largest size would fit up to a small 12 year old.
