Yet another southwest question

Say I book a flight and it goes down in cost. I completely understand the rebook and get credit for each person on the RSVP. I have done that before and understand how to do it. My question is say I want to book my next trip using my rapid reward points and have "cash" credit because I rebooked a flight for cheaper etc. Does southwest lower the cost of points since I essentially have a "cash" credit for them. It would make sense to me that they should give the points equal to my credit. Example... wanna get away fares are 6 points per dollar. i have a 10.00 credit I should 60 points off the cost. Anyone have any experience in this.
Thanks DISers!

Unfortunately you cannot combine cash credits with rapid rewards points. You cannot use cash credits to purchase EBCI either. Sorry.

Yep just called southwest to confirm. Had to explain my question twice. Thought it was a legit question. But your right it won't work.
