Hello, just wondering what DL will be like during the end of Sept.? (20th - on)
:rotfl:
How crowded are the parks then? How is the weather? How late does DTD stay open? (I looked on DL.com but just said 'Depends on which location')
Is this a decent time of year to go? Are there alot of referbs happening?
:scared1:
Is everything open and running, or is alot of stuff closed?
:cool2:
Any other tips for this time of year?
:cheer2:
Thanks:hippie:

Crowds; Not to bad especially during the week it is off season with lots of kids back to school and none of the halloween events up yet. Longest lines approx. 40-60 minutes (Space and Splash Mountains) and 20 minutes or less for most others. No idea what Nemo will look like though since its so new. These are based on what I remember from last year.

Weather; this is hit or miss most likely it will be in 70s-80s but could be cooler or hotter. Last year we had a fairly late summer. Probably cooler at night

Time of year is probably good if you don't want a whole lot of crowds and still have nice weather.

Refurbs should be listed by now, but you shouldn't have to much issues with that.

Have a small sweatshirt for the evening in case and probably t-shirts for during the day. Have Fun!

We went at that time in '05, and the weather in S.CA was cold anyway, so it wasn't THAT big a surprise that it rained the first half of the day. A cold rain, too. Cleared everyone out, which was great, after Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones (after which the rains really started), we had the place to ourselves until well after noon. :)

Prepare for warm or cold, and you'll be fine. And you won't have to pay something like $30 for a poncho and umbrella like we did.

This year Disney's HalloweenTime starts on September 21, so there WILL be Halloween shows and decorations, etc. Last year this increased the crowds significantly on weekends, but weekdays should still be relatively quiet and uncrowded. Weather will most likely be in the 70s or 80s, but can be 90-100 if we get a Santa Ana, and those are not unusual at that time of year.

Do they put the decorations out in the middle of the night? :) I ask b/c we'll be there before that, and then the 21st is our last day. And I wonder...will we see the people putting out the decorations, or will it be MAGIC, to enter the parks on the 21st and have a whole new visual experience?

Opps I forgot Halloween was a little early this year!

Bumbershoot: Disney does its best to always keep the Magic so I would expect to see it complete on the 21st. That should be the day the Mansion also opens back up.
