Yet another Ridemax Question

I am trying to plan an EE for our Sat in april. I get that Ridemax can't adjust hours for EE. But it keeps throwing in "go get a Fastpass" when I unselect those choices under plan options. How do you plan an EE with out FP on Ridemax. Or do I just ignore those directions when it prints up my plan? What I am getting is:
1. Matterhorn
2. Star Tours
3. Buzz
4. Space Mountain.

I hope to get through these by 8am and plan out another Ridemax Plan starting at 8am.

Thoughts????:surfweb:

I wouldn't use my MM on Buzz or Space. I agree with ridemax wait and get a FP at regular opening hours then ride them later.
Use your MM for other rides like Peter pan, or ride the Matterhorn twice as you will NOT get on there later.
Also Star tours is usually not much of a wait anymore.

CP, it looks like you've done some homework. :thumbsup2

If that's the case, I'd ignore the Ridemax directions (& i do) for FP collecting. On a busy Sat., it would be much better to follow HydroGuy's rules for FP collecting (found in 2-3 of his threads)....while using RideMax as your GENERAL guide.

As far as the 4 rides above....no problem in riding them during MM (formerly EE).

But in principal, I agree with RiverGallery....it's best to ride the FL dark rides (particulary PP, Dumbo, Alice, Matterhorn & Toady...in order) during MM because they are SLOW loaders at other times of day.

But if you are skipping some of these.....(or if you're doing what we've done a couple of times when having multiple MM days, you're sticking with the non-dark rides for MM, since you did the dark rides on another day).....then you might share exactly what you want to ride (& how many times) during that Sat. MM & you'll get some opinions.

For example, given just those 4 rides for MM, I'd do (in order):

- Matterhorn each side (& maybe each side twice).
- Buzz 2 times (or maybe 3 times).
- SM once (or twice).
- Pick up a SM FP at 8:00am
- Save Star Tours for another part of the day.

(But if i was at Matterhorn, I'd probably ride Alice first with no line (2-3 min. ride) since it's there and it's great....even if i had ridden it the previous day's MM.)

I really like the idea of riding the Matterhorn and Buzz more than once. I went through the rides available during MM with the family and we agree on these four. So I will go check our Hydro Guy's post and plan Ridemax for 8am.

So how about:
Matterhorn
Matterhorn
Buzz
Buzz
Space
Star Tours:rolleyes:

Has Star Tours been open lately for MM? I didn't think it was when we were there, both times last year-- and once was on the busy spring break.

Avalon may be right about Star Tours....but even if it's available during MM, it's a time eater & doesn't usually have a big line. (Which is why most here would not pencil in StarTours during MM or the important first two hours after Gen. Adm. opening.

Paco, I like your order (& when you finish the Buzz ride & are getting ready to hop off....be prepared to ask the CM if you can keep riding (if there is no line...or little line) that will save you a LONG walk around the building & thru the cue. This has worked for us twice (when Buzz was empty) & we were turned down twice (when it wasn't).

I think the most important thing (on a busy day...especially a busy Sat.) since you've got the order for MM worked out. Is to keep your eye on the FP ball.

- 8am (SM or Indy)
- 8:50ish (SM, Indy or Splash)
- 9:30ish (Splash or BTMRR)
- 10:15-10:30ish (BTMRR or Buzz)

If you have 3 of the above FPs in your pocket by 10am, (or before hopping to DCA), you'll be WAY ahead of the game when you return to DL later in the day.

(But Paco....your crowd doesn't want to ride Toady? Alice? :()

;)

hound <------(just messing with you....but loves the classic dark rides. :goodvibes )

note - here's my last one day visit to DLR (on a MM morning)....not necesarily a recommended plan, but gives you an idea of how one can work MM & work FPs at the parks.

I agree that Star Tours has a shorter line and not worth wasting the MM. Most locals have seen it so many times that they skip it and it is something I will not being doing over and over like the bobsleds which I have ridden over 200 times probably. Even on a busy day the line is not that bad and they have 3 theaters to run and can handle large crowds pretty well. Skip Star tours until the big stuff is done.
