Yet another question....

Ok question 10,001 for me...
In the parks, is there anyplace I can take PJ out of his stroller and let him crawl around? I usually have a blanket (large adult sized) in the bottom of my stroller.
He's learning to crawl and gets antsy when he can't practice...

what about the baby centers that are in the parks. I think it would be okay for him to crawl around there. On his blanket of course. Wouldn't want him crawling where there is a ton of foot traffic. If he is anything like mine was everything goes in the mouth. Shoot I use to have tell my middle guy not to eat out of the trash Hey, if its on top its fair came ma!

Honestly - I think the answer is no - and if he crawls anything like my crawler, then the blanket isn't going to help, mine would be off the blanket in 10 seconds.

i am hoping and praying that she will be walking by October - she is cruising now, but still mainly crawls. If she is at least toddling then I can let her out of the stroller for a walk occasionally, but I can't think of anywhere I would let her crawl, even the play areas would be too busy with kids playing.

Possibly, some of the quieter seating areas, like the Rose Garden in MK - but it would still be a concrete path - not nice on hands and knees

My Dd was 15 months old when we went to WDW last year and was not walking yet. I dreaded the thought of her wanting out of the stroller and crawling on the pavement. Well, believe it or not she starting walking very well the morning we left for Disney!!! We couldn't believe it. She must have known we were headed for a wonderful place to explore.

The only thing I can suggest if your child is not walking yet, is to take them out of the stroller and let them stretch their legs while holding onto a bench or some chairs in one of the restaurants. If they want to crawl on the pavement it will be so hard on their little hands and knees, not to mention very dirty.

I hope your child will be walking for your before your trip!!!

I can't find the thread for the life of me. A member here talked about a center at Magic Kingdom where mother's could sit around on sofas and this place had baby equipment and stuff like that. I think it is a new lounge-like place for parents with small children where they can rest while in the parks. When I find the thread, I'll let you know. I wish I could remember the person who wrote it.

Are you talking about the baby stations or Kiddie Concierge? They were testing KC just before our last trip but the one at MK (by Space Mtn) was closed when we were there this last May Have they implemented this permanently now?

This past May my ds was crawling and there really wasn't anywhere he could crawl. He was cruising at that point so we would hold his hands while in lines and help him walk so he could stretch his legs a bit. He seemed ok with that. He got lots of crawling in at our resort though.

Just be sure you bring outlet covers for your room! My ds gravitates to open outlets. We had to move furniture in front of all the open ones to keep him away from them.

I doubt he will be cruising but I KNOW he will be crawling. He's dying to go right now! He can go backwards like a champ but forward still eludes him a little bit.
I know I'll be using the baby stations a great deal so if I have to toss the blanket down there for him then that's what I'll do.
Either that or I'll just go back to the hotel at some point during the day and let him zoom around the room...
I really wish the Disney hotel doorways had some sort of decent molding so I could bring his doorway jumper for him...
