Hello,

Although I did a quick search, I was unable to find a response to my questions, and unfortunately do not have heaps of time to go through every thread, so here's my query.

We've purchased a Magic Your Way Package, including 4 nights accommodation at a WDW resort and a 6-day park pass. For the remaining nights of our vacation we'll be moving offsite. As we are eligible and would like to take advantage of Fast Pass + we were wondering how the Magic Bands will work once we've checked out of our WDW resort and moved offsite. Will they still work?

Also we purchased our package through the WDW website, and realized we only require a 5 day pass, and not a 6 day? Are we able to change this on our reservation and be credited the difference? We did not purchase travel insurance!

Thank you

WHEN is your trip?

It's from November 18 to 25. We'll be at POR from the 18 (super late arrival, will not be visiting any parks) and will be checking out on the 22. We will be staying offsite from the 22 to the 25. We were planning on visiting a park on both the 22nd and 23rd. Given that we're able to use the Magic Band for part of our vacation, will this work for those two days when we're offsite? thanks

1- It's too late to make a reduction in your tickets without a $50 penalty.
But, I'd not worry much about it as the difference between a 5-day pass and a 6-day pass is just $10.65 per ticket.

(Trip insurance doesn't normally cover those kind of things, regardless.)

2- As far as we know, at this point, your MB will continue to work at the parks after you check out of your WDW resort.
But, don't worry, as you will also be issued a flat plastic ticket that will, for sure, continue to work until all of your
"park days" this trip are completed.

Did you get a 6day base ticket or 6day hopper? Because if you can't remove a day, but you have single-park tickets, you could still use up two 'ticket days' in one actual day by visiting two parks (say AK one morning and a different park at night)

Thanks for taking the time to reply, even though the answer made me nervous! I guess, should there be a problem with out tickets, our best bet would be to go to Guest Services. I would imagine that they'd be able to see how many park days I purchased. Or, alternatively, we could always forgo the MB...?

Sorry, but no, that's not possible.

You cannot use two "days" from a multi-day ticket to enter two different Theme Parks on the same day.

To park hop, you must buy a park hopper (or have an AP.)

They are base tickets. I wasn't aware you could use up two "ticket days" during a single day, I was under the impression that in order to visit more than one park either a park hopper or a AP was required. Thanks for the info

It may have changed - but we've definitely done this in the past. Maybe someone else can confirm? Or try calling disney to ask

It is not now, nor has it ever been possible with Magic Your Way tickets.

(And, sad to say, calling Disney will yield a cornucopia of convoluted answers.) ;)

Shoot, I didn't see that! Will that plastic card be issued to us once we check out? Thank you Robo, not only have you made my day, you've always made me much less nauseous. ;) THANKS

You'll get the plastic RFID tickets at check-in.
They are issued as a"back-up" for the MagicBands in case of technical problems
with the bands.

You've made my day, thanks! I will attempt to relax now.

Just out of curiosity, are you on the east coast? I ask because either you work during the day, at night, or both, or are like me, and just unable to sleep!

I'm in the center of the USA.
I just flip open the laptop if I happen to be up late.

Uh oh. Maybe I'm remembering wrong :/ I thought we'd done it back when I was still in school (1995 maybe?)

Noted. And interesting, as I'm in the centre of Canada. For some reason, I (obviously) erroneously assume Americans are either from the north east, or the west. Maybe it's due to Hollywood. It seems most films take place in either California or NYC. Once in a while they'll stray away from that formula and throw in Chicago for good measure. ;) Whatever though, I`m sandwiched between wheat fields...

Anyway, again, thank you for always taking the time to answer my questions, it's very much appreciated.

There will be no sleeping tonight. I over did with the turkey and pumpkin pie this weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving). Now where did I leave those tums (insert questions mark, keyboard switched to French mode again)

my apologies for going :offtopic:
