Hi all,

Just a quick question that hopefully someone who has a PMickey can answer.

Now I like Mickey, but I'm just not the big soft toy hanging off your belt type of guy! My question is will mickey still work correctly if he is fixed on to my backpack? I am thinking that maybe the sensors have to be pointing forwards to work out where you are in the parks and if he is pointing backwards the information will be relayed to me after I have passed the particular attraction or not at all.

Is this correct?

Thanks in advance, Paul.

I think so but you have to have Mickey pointing forward when you enter the park or his sensors will not pick up where you are so he won't say anything. You also might find it difficult to ear him with all the noise around. Sometimes I had to put him up to my ear to hear. Hooking him to the side of your knap sack might be better. I hooked him to my camera case. Before he talk he shakes which is a good think because around noisy places you would miss what he was saying. Hey I am 40+ at disney we are all kids at heart.

My dear DH argues with the kids on who gets to carry Pal Mickey! I keep telling him I am gonna rat him out to his coworkers! You will be amazed at how many seemingly dignified men do very undignified things while at WDW and you won't feel out of place with Pal Mickey, I promise!

Can you still rent pal mickey or do you have to buy him?

I think they stoped the rent a pal Mickey deal, since he is so popular. So now you can only buy him. They are also coming out with a new Pal Mickey in honor of Disneyland's 50th, that will be out in May. And I think they are also going to be coming out with a Pal Minnie Mouse and a Pal Donald Duck, I would love the Minnie one myself!

And yes, you have to have Mickey facing forward so he will work right. His nose picks up the info. that he tells you.

I don't think it necessarily has to be facing front b/c I've had him inside my backpack and he was vibrating/talking/trying to tell me something. If you put him in a bag, he is just really hard to hear.
