Yet another grocery question....

Of all the stores around WDW (Publix, Albertson's, Winn-Dixie, Goodings, etc...) which one carries the best selection of natural and organic foods? I've posted before about natural foods stores in the area...but I'm wondering if any of the regular markets have a good selection so I don't have to go out of my way to Whole Foods Market. We generally do half our shopping at a regular store and half at a whole foods store.

Also, do any of these places carry medicinal herbs or homeopathic remedies? I'd rather not have to haul down a whole arsenal of natural remedies for any possible occasion...but then again I've known the misery of running out of kali bichromicum while suffering from a cold at WDW and having no idea where to get more!

Thanks!

Thanks anyway! Somehow I think I'm the only DVC member who lives a little differently...lol....I may just have to be the first one to find out these things!

As the risk of getting blasted ;), I am going to say that there was a nice variety of organic stuff at super Wal*Mart.

Really, Gail? That's the last place I would have expected...but perhaps I'll have to give it a try.

You work for Wal-Mart, right? I think it was your post that actually got me to try giving Wal-Mart's photo processing another chance. I tried the one hour and my pics turned out very nice!

You may even manage to change my general opinion of Wal-Mart eventually! Thanks!

Lesley,
I no longer work for Wal*Mart. BUT....I am happy that your photos turned out well.

Lesley, I can't imagine any of the grocery stores mentioned coming close to a Whole Foods in terms of organic foods or homeopathic stuff. I'd be interested in what you find. I didn't even know there was a Whole Foods "nearby" WDW until today. How far is it, do you know?

The Whole Foods is in Winter Park.... north of Orlando. Here is their web page with directions

I have not been there...and its rather out of the way from WDW especially if you're not feeling well! I couldn't venture to guess a time frame for the drive.

We come down I4 on the way into Orlando off of I95...so on the way in it might not be a problem, but I don't think I'd want to head all the way out there midweek. Who knows though...it may seem closer than I'm thinking!

Hmm....I-4 can get really jammed. I don't think you're off base. That is a bit of a drive.
