After getting a Fastpass, what is the MAXIMUM time you must wait to get another one??? :confused3

Here’s the reason that I ask: We will be getting to EPCOT at about 12:00 one day and want to ride Soarin’ (who doesn’t?) Anyway, if we get a FP and it’s crowded and doesn’t say to return for like 4 hours later, can we get another FP sooner than that?

I could’ve sworn that it was a 2 hour maximum wait in between getting a FP. If the return time is sooner, obviously you can get another one sooner. But I’m worried if it isn’t, we won’t be able to get a FP for Test Track or Mission: SPACE.

Anyway know the answer? Is it 2 hours max. to wait for a FP?

Thanks for the help! :goodvibes

2 hours is the max, but do not be surprised at that time of the day for the return to be way later like 5 or 6 pm or them to be out of fast passes completely. Good luck.

The worst case wait time before pulling another fast pass has been two hours and five minutes.

Sometimes (unadvertised) you can get a fast pass for a less busy ride before the time stated on the fast pass you already have. Trial and error, worth trying one hour after getting your last fast pass.

For the time being, you can get a fast pass for Lights, Motors at MGM Studios about ten minutes before or after you got another fast pass.

WOW!!! This is great (and news to me)!

The last I knew you had to wait until the window of the 1st FastPass opened to get a 2nd FastPass. When did it change? Please tell me that it changed since last Thanksgiving...

seashoreCM - Thanks for the link that explains the "new" rules. :-(

We just got back on the 7th and we picked up a FP for Soarin' before noon and the return time wasn't until 5:45. Be sure to get them early, they ran out quick!

The maximum time between fastpasses was originally about two hours. Over the years various experiments were done, during less busy times the maximum time park-wide was sometimes reduced to as little as 35 minutes.

Thanks everyone!

We don't mind how long we have to wait to return to Soarin' with our FP. We just wanted to be sure that we'd be able to get another one in the afternoon sometime. We still want to ride Test Track and Mission:Space and we'll need a FP for at least one. :cool1:

So thanks for putting my mind at ease! :goodvibes

Not sure of the size or ages of your group, but don't forget about the singles line, exp on Test Track. 99% of the time, you'll be in the same care if there are just 2 of you.

Anyone with better knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I was there in Aug and the CM at the front of the Land pavilion told me that the Soarin' FASTPASS's were handled outside the normal "time freeze" for passes to other rides at EPCOT. That you could get a Soarin' FASTPASS and it did not restrict you from immediately getting a FASTPASS for another ride such as TEST TRACK or MISSION: SPACE. But SOARIN' was the only one like that at EPCOT. I don't know if possibly the same applied to LIGHTS MOTORS ACTION at MGM.

Anyone else have any input on this?

Most times the singles line at Soarin isn't open. They pull singles from the regular line if they need them.

Just returned yesterday and this was NOT the case on Wed the 5th or Sun the 9th. On Wed we hit Soarin first and got a FP with a return time of 12:35-1:35. We could not get another until after the two hour max. We did try a little early (watch fast!) watch and got a non-valid FP. About 12:10 we got our TestTrack FP and then returned to ride Soarin.

They can vary the "time freeze" for each ride and they could change it during a day. I guess this is how they handle Lights, Motors. Last time I tried, if you got a fast pass for a ride with a long time freeze first, then you can get a fast pass for another ride with a shorter time freeze after said shorter time freeze even though the fast pass you got first does not say so.
