About 2 weeks ago I made a reservation using our incentive points. I have yet to get a confirmation in the mail. No problem there, MS said it would take about 6 weeks. But tomorrow is the 180 day mark so I can call in my ADR's. Do they need a confirmation # to make my ADR's? How can I prove to them I am indeed staying on site to make my ADR's and have the 180+10 rule apply?
 
While it is convenient to use the 180+10 rule, it is doubtful that you'll lose out on any dining experience if you can not use it for a mid-July travel window. I've never had a problem getting any dining reservation I've wanted, and I've never used the 180+10 thing. However, I haven't booked the Cinderella meal in many years.

I just recently booked at the 180+10day mark for our first stay at SSR using developer points. I didn't have a confirmation # at the time and wasn't asked for it either. I called the DVC member number and just provided my DVC member ID#. :) You hopefully shouldn't have a problem either.

This was the first time doing so and it was wonderful! I actually booked my November trip at the same time/same person I made my July ADRs. It was great not having to transfer from person to person to book things!

The MS phone system won't answer until 9 am, so it won't even transfer you to dining before then.

I guess it is better to use the CRO # for popular reservations such as CRT, or an Illuminations cruise.

The "DVC dining reservation number" is just an option on the MS menu that sends you to the same place as 407-WDW-DINE. But you can't get to the DVC menu until 9 am Eastern.

I always call WDW-Dine directly as it's faster and they are open longer hours. Haven't called in a while, but the last time I did, I used the toll free number 877-939-3732 (option 3),
 
I didn't get transfered. The same gentleman who booked my SSR room for November booked my ADRs for July. I am not about to get up at 4am to book ADRs so, the 9am (6am Western) start time did not matter to me. I got everything I was looking for including Le Cellier at 6:30pm. :)

You can give them your phone number as an alternative to your eservation #.
 
What is the 180+10 dining rule for ADR's??


Onsite guests may make dining reservation at 180 days prior to their arrival date for their entire trip (up to 10 days). Offsite guests are 180 days from each day.
 
We had this happen to use, when I called disney dinning 180out they would not do it without the reservation #, so I had to call ms and they gave me the number(wich is when i also found out I could book it through them). Of course my reservation came in the mail about 1hr later.
