So I am sitting here finalizing our trip next week;

DW, DS, & DD leave Sunday and will be using ME. I Join them on Friday also using ME. I just noticed, Duh!, They only gave DW 3 luggage tags (She is on SW so she can have 6 bags) and I am on United they gave me 4 tags?

Since the kids will be in Golf Camp and we plan on bringing our clubs as well (not to mention they will be there for a full 2 weeks) we will have more luggage than normal and will likely have 6 bags. Thus she had palnned to take it all with her so I wouldn't get charged by United. And by using ME she doesn't have to lug it around

The question is this, MY ME tags have a different date, does it matter?

Did you guys book two different DME reservations??? That would account for the two different dates. Otherwise I can't imagine why the dates would be different. I'm assuming you'll be joining them at the same resort they started out at, correct?
As for the luggage tags...they normally send one pp now. So, that would be one for each of them. Why you got four is a mystery. But, it would make me think that there were, in all actuality, two different DME reservations made.
You can try calling DME asap and see if they can get your dw out a few more luggage tags for her arrival date, but it may be cutting it too close now.

Yea, forgot to mention. Her res is for a studio at SSR and when I arrive we move a 1bdrm. The tags on mine say Unknown for the name of the other 3 along with my name. They also say DVC Hold. Ugh! Should have looked closer sooner. Guess I'll be calling em now!

Ahhh, that would make sense. Yep, you will have to call 'em to get some more sent out. Hope it works out. If not, just have your wife hand over the baggage claim receipts when she gets to the DME checkin counter. They (DME CMs) will ask her how many bags she checked as well as a description of them. Then they will send someone to get them and put them on the appropriate luggage truck. That way she won't have to juggle them at MCO.

You should be able to give your wife your DME tags - if you're concerned about the date, just use a Sharpie to carefully cross it out on your own tags (and print her arrival date, if you wnat, but that should be obvious to the luggage handlers since, well, her luggage will be there :teeth: )

Sorry but that won't work....the bar code on his tags have the second reservation date on it. His DME reservation has him arriving on Friday. His wife is arriving on Sunday. The issue is when he arrives, they move into a different unit, hence the two different dates.
It's not as if he was listed on the first reservation but was arriving 5 days later. That would have worked.

Yea I considered just crossing out the date, but realized the barcaode would likley get it stored. She'll just have to go to the counter. No big deal. Thanks for the help!!

Magical Express is "not supposed" to be a luggage only delivery service and is "not supposed" to take care of you before your reservation starts.

Ergo, I strongly believe that if you use an incorrect yellow tag for want of a correct one, drawing one line through the date and resort name if needed, and writing in the correct information that makes sense with your first check in date will result in correct delivery.

Bring with you the stubs or booklet that goes with the yellow tags you actually used.

Prior to 10 PM yellow tagged baggage is summarily culled from the baggage streams at the airport and taken to Disney. If any got missed, CM's are on hand (after about 6 AM) to check carousels and airline baggage storage corrals. It would actually take much more time and effort, and delay baggage delivery to rooms, to dispatch baggage from the airport to match exactly when the guest boards the bus.

also if you give them your baggage claim receipts (do what I do and take a picture of your bags and give them that too)
