Ended up hitting two Goodwills while I was out yesterday and had some pretty decent luck!

I got two Jones New York sweaters.... CASHMERE... for $4.49 each! I will offer them both to my daughter, but if she doesn't want them or like them, I will definitely be selling both for a small profit! I also bought a Calphalon pan for $3.60 in barely used condition... that retails new at Macy's for $92!!! Haven't decided if I will keep or sell that one.

Kind of wish I had taken the time to hit one last store, since obviously my luck was with me yesterday! But alas, no Fiesta Ware and no good vintage Disney to be found............P

ETA: I have the Calphalon pan posted for sale in two of my Facebook yard sales... wish me luck! I'd love to make a little extra for the Disney fun!

I went today and ended up finding 10 a Lululemon items for my girls. Cost for all was about $40.

Awesome! :cool1:
Aren't those finds great?!? :goodvibes
This is what I do full time on ebay - buying at goodwill / salvation army and reselling on ebay. You can make pretty good money at it, too. I'm a sahm & put in about 30 hrs a week (counting the shopping for the stuff) during the school year - hardly any during the summer when my son's home from school, but last November that's how we fully funded our 1st Disney trip ~ 5 nights at the poly :cloud9: Hoping to be able to do another trip this Feb.

I wish you the best of luck with your sales!! :goodvibes

I have had great luck at the thrift store lately

had a $10 voucher from a class action so I went shopping
1 chicos blouse
1 jones new york dress new with tags $139
1 abercrombie dress for dd
1 ligth summer blouse
$32

also got a chicos top for $5.99 at the hospital thrift store

but the big one was the lilly pulitzer dress for dd for $19..99

I love thrift store shopping!! Last week my husband got a mid century modern couch in amazing condition for just $44. He even got a call from a dealer who saw it at the thrift store and wanted to buy it because it would sell for at least $1000.

I have also been very lucky recently in getting Anne Taylor and Banana Republic clothes in my size for about $4 each piece. I got a few pairs of very nice work pants and some shirts. And no one would every know they were slightly used!

DH and I like to go to auctions. I got an oil-on-board in a gilded wooden frame for $10.00. Found out it was painted around the late 1700's. Presently we have had an appraisal of $7,000.00 Waiting to hear from a museum to see if the estimated appraisal is correct. I can't imagine being that lucky but I have my fingers crossed!!!!
Also, DH and I got some great bargains at a salvage yard. several brass sconces and three brass chandeliers. Paid $11 each for chandeliers and $13 each for sconces. We kept one chandelier, cleaned and polished it and hung it in our formal dining room - it is stunning!!!! Planning to sell the other two and the sconces on ebay and hoping to get a good return on them!

Wow, you did good! Did your pan sell? We have several great Goodwills around here but I have never tried buying to resell. I love to shop and may have to try it.

Wow, did you keep it or sell? I have found some brand new shoes with tags for $6. Always find to make outfits out of thrift finds.

Wow, keep us posted, how cool!

Lately, we have eyes out for things for DD's apartment but haven't found much yet. I love poking around and getting that thrill when the perfect item pops up.

I sell on ebay from yard sales but am not to up to date on what clothes sell well. What do you find makes the most $$.

My big score was from a yard sale, not a thrift store.

Purchased a Pottery Barn Kids queen/full size quilt and 2 pillow shams for $.75.

Yes, seventy-five cents!!

Mint condition - looked barely used.

Tried to find information on the pattern but could not find it anywhere - I am guessing it is an older or retired pattern.

My favorite find so far has been a brand new with tags stuffed owl from universal for 99 cents. Also found a pair of yellow glower sandals for 3 bucks. I love goodwill and tomorrow is half off day!!!!

I love thrift shopping....I used to resell certain items, but lost my taste for that years ago....now I just buy what looks good for our own use:thumbsup2 Anything from a Disney park is always a hit in our house! I cringe at buying 'soft' goods furniture at Goodwill tho.... I just can't get past the whole "what used to happen on this cushion" thing:lmao::scared1: which is why I'm thrilled to have found a metal daybed frame on craigslist this week, but will buy a new mattress for it....:thumbsup2

Haven't been in the thrift stores for years since I have found consignment shops. We use to go to thrift store to browse for anything antique. Never thought about buying then reselling awesome idea though especially if that gets you closer to your Disney vacation. My buys are usually from my local consignment auctions which are held on facebook. This week I bought four Victoria Secrets Pink Hoodies which cost me 24.00 for all. In like new condition. I also bought Gymboree pj's, Justice skirt with tags, children's place pj's with tags, and Justice shirt for 15.00.

Oooh, I went today! It was awesome because I was all alone with no one waiting at home or in the vehicle...usually when we get to one it is a family shopping outing and even though my girls are teen/tween they don't have the patience for shopping all the time. Well they are out of state with family...and DH was doing his own shopping and then going home in a separate vehicle. I spent a couple of hours really going through things.

I got myself 17 articles of clothing- 2 new with tags dress pants, J Jill sweaters, 2 pair of jeans (1 J. Jill), several tops. I got DD12 two shirts (one new with tags) and DD15 a pair of jean shorts that were only .69 if they don't fit. Spent about $65.

It's been a long time since I had such a haul for myself. Last summer the girls really bought a lot of shirts to cut up and such, but I never find so much for myself.

The last time DD12 went there with me she found her dream dress. She had literally been poring over prom sites and Amazon looking for dresses exactly like this one. It was in perfect condition, in her size, and $11.99.

I used to sell a lot on eBay from the thrifts. I would find a lot and I was good at it. It worked for 10 years, then I stopped finding stuff for some reason, and now I am just totally out of the groove. It did make it fun, though, getting to shop, buying cool stuff no matter the size, and making money on it. It was a good thing while it lasted, which was during the years when we needed it most.

The other day I found a Bugs Bunny cookie jar for $7 and a Mickey spagetti spoon for $1.

What a find. I have been shopping for Disney nick nacks for DD to sell and have found a few we just have to list the latest finds.

Yesterday, I found a necklace made from four, old style nails. Wrapped with wire and bent into a bursting shape. Maybe keep...maybe sell. Who knows! Worked on getting a costume ready for MNSSHP in Oct. Daughter is a belly dancer and we found the perfect blouse.

Hi, Sorry I didn't see this response.
The brands I seem to do best with are: Eileen Fisher,Lilly Pulitzer, Chicos, anything from most Anthropologie brands, Soft Surroundings, Joie, Free People (if it's unique), J. Crew, St. John by Marie Gray, Exclusively Misook, Vince, .....and I'm sure there's alot more I can't think of right now.

But, what I also found is to follow the styles and keywords that are popular on the site - and look for items that I can purchase to fit the keywords people are looking for- right now a few things that are hot for sales: maxi dresses, maxi skirts, peasant tops... other popular keywords (if they describe your item) that can help boost traffic and sales: boho / hippie / peasant / rockabilly / tunic / pintuck.

It's all a gamble, but it's fun & it's what's helping us fund our disney vacation :)

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

My 17 yr old daughter came home yesterday, exciyrd because she found J. Crew shorts, a cute Polo shirt, and a college shirt all for $11 at our Goodwill. I was a proud mom!!:thumbsup2
