We went there on our last trip in Dec. The restaurant is TRULY one of our favs, and even when we say we are NOT going there again....we always end up there!!
I would highly recommend the "traditional sopa" off the appetizer menu...it is one of the BEST I've had anywhere!! But, anything on the menu with the "shredded chicken" is really good...they season it VERY well. My dh always gets the Plato Mexicano...and, it is a LOT of food.
But...we did have an adventurous meal there last time. We met a friend of mine who is a CM for dinner. We had not seen her for a long time, and we were having a VERY enthralling conversation. My dd (3) was being largely ignored by us. She was in a booster seat, which was sitting on a padded wooden chair. I hear her saying, "Mom, mom...", I turn to her and say, "Just a minute, Mommy is talking". Then, I turn back to my friend, and I hear a "splat", and then "gasps" fill the air from the other tables. I look over at dd, and she is lying face down on the CONCRETE floor!!! She had totally knocked the wind out of herself. When I picked her up, she starts screaming. I am frantically checking her head, face, etc. And, I asked her, "Baby, do you have a boo-boo?" She screams, "Yyyeeeesss!!!". I said, "Where?" She looks at me blankly for a minute, and then cries, "My little finger!!!". Everyone around us started laughing...and, I was so relieved (of course, mixed with feelings of, "I am such a bad mom!!!"). But, I saw two other families take their children out of the booster seats and hand the seats back to the waiter. LESSON: Those chairs are NOT suited for booster seats!!!
But, enjoy...the food is good, and the ambience is amazing...especially during the heat of a summer day!!!
