I actually found Bill through Mouse Owners. I didn't realize until later that he was starting a DVC rental company. It makes sense, though, because he had many years experience renting DVC points and was very good at it. He really went above and beyond.

At a bar in Clemson, they give you a T-shirt for free on your birthday with a big 21 that says "21st Birthday I'm Legal!!!" with a tiger in a beer mug on the back. I thought it would be super cute to create a Disney version of the t-shirt, but obviously, I couldn't put any licensed characters on the shirt. So I created a version with a hand very similar to Mickey's holding the mug.

We made it to breakfast at Crystal Palace. We were very disappointed to find that they had taken the breakfast pizza off the kids' buffet (there was a different version on the adult buffet, but it wasn't the same). Thank goodness they still had Pooh's Puffed French Toast!

We also rode Pirates of the Caribbean and debated and debated on whether or not to ride Splash Mountain because all of us wanted to ride, but none of us wanted to get wet. We finally just went for it - requested the back rows. I stayed pretty dry.

We didn't have much time left, and Rachel wanted to ride TTA before leaving the park. So we crossed through the castle hub during Move It Shake It Celebrate It. Rachel took a picture of Mickey in a birthday hat and sent it to her boyfriend, making him think that they had put on this big party just for her! :laugh:

We had about half an hour to get to Epcot in time for our 2:00 Beverage Seminar. Plenty of time, right? Not when you get stuck on the monorail...

So we had to book it to the F&W Visitor's Center once we got to Epcot. And then we got there to learn that we weren't 10 minutes late like we thought... they had just opened the doors to let everyone in.

So we got in line, and Rachel, Addie, and I almost got in. :laugh: "Excuse me, I'm sorry, I almost forgot to check your IDs." "Oh, we're not 21." "They sold you a ticket?" "Yes, we purchased over the phone." "Just wait out here and I'll make sure you get a refund."

Max, on the other hand, got to show his ID for the first time.

The CM who was checking IDs took us over to the main desk for them to refund us.

It was a pain to get us a refund because the seminar had already started, and they were only removing three people from the reservation. We told the CM that if they couldn't give us a refund it was fine - they could just give all of our wine samples to Max because it was his 21st birthday. The CMs trying to refund us didn't think we were very funny. Addie - "No, really. We're being serious. It's his 21st birthday - he needs all of our wine!"

After the Beverage Seminar, we went to the Chase Visa Lounge to check it out.

This was a great disappointment. There was a line to get in. This is because this is a tiny, cramped space with a capacity of like 15 comfortably. They were squeezing 30+ people in there, though.

And the people in there... I've observed this whenever I go into some sort of "lounge" or
"exclusive" area for people who are really regular, everyday people... for some reason, because they're in this "exclusive" space... they think they're the stish!!! Like egos to the ceiling. Maybe that's why it was so cramped... because the egos in there were bigger than the room. It's like people don't understand that everyone else is in there for the same reason... that they have a Chase credit card. It's not a big deal. Lots of people have Chase credit cards. You aren't better than anyone else in this tiny, cramped room.

It was ridiculous how people pushed and shoved for beverages, as if they had never seen a miniature cup of soda before. The one cool thing was the charging station... but when Rachel and Addie tried to charge their phones, they learned that there was only one iPhone charger, and it was already in use. Just one iPhone charger? That's poor planning - don't they realize that the same percentage of people who have Chase credit cards also probably have iPhones?

"I'm so cool, charging my iPhone in this exclusive lounge."

It was time to start Max's Drink Around the World!

Max really wanted a mudslide. I don't know why... I got him on this fixation early in the day, and he kept bugging me to research it - he wanted to know what country had it. We enlisted the help of some CMs at the F&W Visitor's Center, but they didn't know.. they did have a lot of good advice for drinks, though. I found on my phone that the Coral Reef had mudslides. So we went over there and first rode Nemo, then went to the Coral Reef to acquire about mudslides. Yes, they can make them, but they don't have a bar - it's table service only. The CM offered to make a reservation for us, but we declined - we already had dinner reservations.

I then discovered that I had lost my cell phone... probably on the Living Seas with Nemo. So I went back to the attraction, and the CM told me they had already sent it to Lost & Found. Dad and I went to get my phone, and Mom, Rachel, and Addie took Max with him to start him drinking around the world. It was already 3:40 on his 21st birthday, and he hadn't had more than a wine sampling, yet.

My phone was already at Lost & Found, and I was able to identify it to them. Dad and I headed on to World Showcase.

It was almost time for dinner, so we decided to head to Mexico, then pick up where we left off.

I also should mention that we stopped in the UK for some people to use the bathroom, and the phone at a telephone booth rang. I answered it, knowing that the numbers are public, and this was probably someone calling from home. The guy said that his friend told him about this, so he wanted to see if it really worked. We ended up passing the phone around because everyone wanted to talk to him.

Dinner was good. I think I made a good choice with San Angel... which I made because of the tequila drinks. It's been a few years since we had eaten there before, and I honestly think it's better now than the last time we were there (I don't remember being exceptionally happy with it back then).

We continued our Drink Around the World tour a little differently. Since Max isn't a big beer fan, and it was Food & Wine, we decided to allow him to substitute two countries (and add a few more!). He got a Mai Tai from Hawaii and loved the Dragonberry from the Caribbean. He went back a few more times during the trip to get more.

While we were headed to Soarin, Max decided to gangnam style, and a security officer approached him - "Excuse me, sir. You're going to have to leave. There are no animals allowed in the park." :laugh:
