Part 3-- Monday November 19--MGM
We are
Deby-34
Doug-34
Dylan-9
Ryan-7
Allie-5
Sami-3
Today, we let the kids sleep alittle later and we ate at the hotel buffet so we didn't get to the park until about 10:30. It took alittle longer to go through the security line today, they really went through Dougs stuff, and they only glanced through my bag. Go figure!
Ok, the thanksgiving crowd is starting to show up(I guess after the great day at Magic Kingdom, we expected it again
) We decide to hit the millionaire show, since one was just starting. Oh well, none of us even made it to the top ten, I think we need some pointers!
After the millionaire show, we went into the Walt Disney history show(I can't remember what its called) its right next to the millionaire show. It was good and Doug and I enjoyed the movie on Walts life. When we came out, we saw it had rained, good thing we had parked the strollers underneath the side of the building so they didn't get wet.
Doug went to get fast passes for the tower of terror for him, dylan and Allie. We decided to go to the Great Movie ride and the line was long. After this, the three of them went to use there fast passes. Ryan, Sami and me wandered around looking for the pressed penny machines, since Ryan was not going on any of the 'bigger' rides because of his arm, I figured this would be a good thing for him to get( and it was by the end of the trip, his pressed penny book was just about full)
When we are met up again, the parade was going, we tried to see it, but we couldn't really see, so I guess we will have to come back another day for it
We had a little time before our sci-fi in reservations, and we didn't know what to do since the lines for everything seemed long. We ended up on mickey avenue where you can wait to meet Mickey and the photographer takes your picture(i was excited to have a picture of all of us with mickey and of course when I went to look at it--MY eyes are closed--ugh!!!)
On to the sci-fi, we tried this last trip and really enjoyed it, so we decided to go this trip. Well, they didn't have any cars at the moment and they were really behind, so we took a car table instead(no car seats to sit in, just a table and chair) It was ok but not as fun as the car seats.
Then I got a migraine. Overall the lunch was good, although with my migraine I couldn't really see and its dark in there to begin with
Everyone else enjoyed it.
After this, Doug, dylan and allie went on star Tours.
By now it was dark enough for the osbourne lights, so we headed there. The kids couldn't believe it was snowing on New York street. We got our glasses and headed to the lights. It was cool to see all the angels you see around the lights with the glasses, but after my migraine I had to take them off. Doug had his on the whole time. I couldn't not believe how many lights are around the houses. They say there is a light of Mickey on every house but I couldn't find them all.
At the end, we saw the santa goofy and reindeer pluto, the kids got their autographs and a picture taken with them.
The park had now closed at 7 so we headed out, with the crowds we felt like we didn't do as much as we wanted, and will have to plan the next day we come to MGM alittle better.
