Well, I had pretty much resigned myself to room 2545 (our assignment once we came of our Cat 10 Guaranty) for our upcoming Wonder cruise on December 15...sadly it was on Dave's noisy room list and directly under the dance floor ...but Pixie Dust is here (well needed after 60 hours without power post the worst ice storm in North Carolina history!)

DCL called DH at work today. We got bumped up to a Cat 9, still on Deck 2--room 2558 a great room right off the mid elevators and not in one of the noisy areas. Yah hoo! So don't ever give up the chance that you might just get that upgrade. It made my week! Can't wait!

After nighttime temps in the 20s (low for NC in December) I am so looking forward to 70 degree evenings! Is it time to go yet?

We just returned from our Wonder trip Dec 1-5. We had a blast! I will definately do it again. We missed the terrible ice storm, and were fortunate to have electricity in Apex when we got home. We were moved from the 2nd floor to the 7th floor upon checking in at the terminal. We loved having a porthole! Have a great trip. Enjoy the sail away celebrations, newly released movies, Hercules and Disney Dreams (great musicals on the Wonder), relaxing on the top decks (deck 10) where there is less crowds, and enjoying the many character opportunities. The princess party was really crowded, and not worth waiting in line. If you have any questions, I'd be more than willing to help you out!

I grew up in Apex (and stayed there Friday night with Mom when there was no power at our house in order to save my marriage DH knew I wouldn't make it a second night in a 40 degree house with just a fireplace for warmth. Smart guy!

What movies are playing right now?

Did your NC blood have any problems with the water temp in the pool or ocean? Actually, after last week's storm, I think I won't complain about a slight chill in the water!

Being on the outskirts of Charlotte I know what you mean about needing some good fortuen ! There are a lot of people still without power but at least the kids are able to go back to school this week around here.

What great luck! I'm happy for you. On our cruise in January, we upgraded ourselves from our standard cat 11 on deck 6 to a cat 9 on deck 2. I'm excited about the idea of a large porthole instead of four solid walls.
