YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

The Tangled bathrooms just have to be documented. It's necessary.

That really DOES look like an egg! I would've thought the same thing.

The Tangled restrooms are just so beautiful. I love taking pictures of it too!

Your photos of PPF aren't poopy. :thumbsup2

Wow, that really was a monsoon out there! Good looking out getting in line for Philharmagic. I've done that many times myself.

Of course you were afraid of melting in the rain! Sugar melts from water you know. ;)

Okay, that lemonade thing does look like a cracked egg.

Wow! What a rain storm. Good idea to duck it out. I do like the pics after a good shower.
I had already crossed BOG off my dinner list. I might have done that after your first visit. It is highly on the list for lunch. It was nice of Kimberly to take off the soup, and just as nice for you to mention that the desserts were missing. Can't wait to hear your next visit. I like how you are determined to find something. Although Em's Chicken looks good.
As for the egg. :rotfl2:

I have just spent the past 24 hours reading this trip report , couldn't put it down ! There are too many highlights to go through one by one , here's just a few. Firstly I think it looks like a fried egg too;). I love the fact that you split your stay , something I would love to do more of , we are splitting it on our next trip , we will be staying at BLT for the first time . I love the links to the dining reviews, I love the real life updates , I love the dismeets , I love the photos of cindarellas suite, I love that Emily asked about Tom Cruise ( I would have asked that question), are you sensing a theme here ? Yes it's official I loved it all , I will stay tuned for more :cheer2:

Happy Easter Brenda!

That lemonade spill totally looked like an egg.

Sorry the food at BOG hasn't been wonderful. I've read quite a few unhappy reports on the French Onion Soup. For such a well known item, not sure why they didn't go with a more traditional recipe.

The Tangled bathrooms are the best! I could hang out there for hours, so you won't hear any complaints from me about more photos.

Haha, I definitely see an egg on the pavement!

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the food at BOG. We have our first dinner there in July and I'm excited to have the steak because I LOVED the steak sandwich when it was on the lunch menu. It is really more about the theming/experience than the food, though!

That's too bad you didn't like the food. I had the potato/leek soup and it was okay. But I obviously don't mind okay because I got it twice! :rotfl:

I do have to agree about the theming of BOG and the Tangled bathrooms, as well as the strawberry cupcakes! Those are so good! I think I'm getting 2 desserts next time!

You can never visit the Tangled Restrooms too many times! It's such a beautifully themed area.

And yes, that does look like a fried egg! :lmao: I'm assuming you didn't do a taste test to confirm? ;)

That DOES look like an egg! :rotfl2: Good shot! Totally cracked me up!

And, yes, people DO melt in torrential rain. It's a proven fact! :rotfl2:

Love that you got a convenient break in and are already back for your BOG dinner. I don't think I can ever see too many pictures from that restaurant! :thumbsup2

Hope you had a Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone, hope you all have a enjoyable day with family, friends and good food..

Thanks so much! :) We had a nice Easter.

Hahaha on the frozen lemonade on the pavement... Totally looks like an egg frying! Before I read your commentary I thought that that's exactly what it was! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your less than stellar dining experience at BoG. I'm glad that the strawberry cupcake proved to be another great choice at least! :thumbsup2 The pictures of you and Em are great as well!

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it was an egg. It was hot so I figured someone could be doing a science experiment.

I think I've lowered my expectations for BoG for dinner so I'm not expecting a fine dining experience any longer. I'm sure we'll be back...maybe lunch is better.

There can never be too many pictures of the Tangled area! I love the whole place, it's so cute!
Whoa, that's a lot of rain! Good call ducking into Philharmagic! :thumbsup2
I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your food at BOG. With so many similar food reviews, we went there expecting not to like it, but we were pleasantly surprised and we loved our meals! :confused3 I got the same dish as Em. Maybe we just hit them on a rare good day! :rotfl:

I'm glad you agree Wendy! It's Disney's fault for doing such a fabulous job with the rest area. If it was a bunch of port-a-potties it wouldn't be so photogenic.

It was a whole lotta rain at one time. I'd hate to the be the kids that got plopped down in the soaking wet stroller after that storm. ;)

I remember your dinner at BoG. I think Em liked her meal better than mine. However, you can't beat the ambiance and theming though so I'm willing to have a short memory and return sometime.

Oh my goodness it just amazes how quickly the monsoons hit. I genuinely feel bad for the CM's in that position where I'm sure they don't want to send everyone out into the storm, but almost have to. Not a good position to be in. Good call on heading into Philharmagic to escape the rain. And bonus... It's Philharmagic!!!!

Clearly all those folks standing there are from So-Cal. :goodvibes

Yup, that does indeed look like an egg.

Your review of BoG really hammers home one of the reasons I don't do sit down meals in Disney. The main one is time, but I would hate to spend a faily large amount of money on food and have the food just be so-so or not good. BUT, at least the place has some serious ambiance going on. Thankfully I can get that at lunch, lol.

It's not like the CMs were asking people to walk out into a hurricane right? But all those Southern Californian's said nuh-huh! For sure! I like your perspective - bonus attraction. And.... we got to see Donald's butt.

I'm glad to see you confirm that I'm not too crazy. Looked like an egg to me.

Time and money, two very valuable commodities in WDW that too many people are willing to give away. Oops! I'm trying lunch next time. Count on it.
Ahh, I hate those sudden rainstorms! We got caught in one in 2011, ran from LTT to Pirates and rode three times. Philharmagic probably would have been a better choice-- Pirates was chilly!
The best part about staying in a MK resort-- being able to take a break even with an ADR coming up. So convenient!

That's a long way to run in a rainstorm! I wouldn't mind doing a repeat loop on Pirates as long as I wasn't soaking wet. That wouldn't be so fun. As I'm sure you can attest. :)

I'm waaaayyy older than you so I need less of an incentive to have an afternoon break than being close to our resort before an ADR. :rotfl: But yes, I do agree!

I can't tell you the number of times people come up to me in the parks asking if I knew of a place to charge their phones. Guess now I can direct them to the Tangled bathrooms. :rotfl:

Got to love FL's afternoon rain showers. Another reason afternoon breaks are beneficial. But, if I remember correctly, that was the first rain shower you got caught in. Maybe? Possibly?:confused3 If so, that's pretty darn good, considering the time of year and length you both were there.

See? Now you have all the answers for those in dire need of 110v charging station.

I completely enjoy the thunderstorms as long as I'm not IN them. We did get caught in the rain at AK park going to the bus stop back in post 537 but that was a loooong time ago (seriously 6 months ago!) so this was the first time since then. ;)

The Tangled bathrooms just have to be documented. It's necessary.

That really DOES look like an egg! I would've thought the same thing.

Hi Marissa! Absolutely! It's a MUST!

Ha ha! It was hot, it was white and yellow, I just assumed! That's what I get for assuming!

The Tangled restrooms are just so beautiful. I love taking pictures of it too!

Your photos of PPF aren't poopy. :thumbsup2

Okay, that lemonade thing does look like a cracked egg.

I'm sure that a couple trips from now I will start to put away the camera when I approach the Tangled restrooms. We shall see... that may be wishful thinking - especially since I need to find more than 2 Pascals in one trip.

Ahhh but I only posted those that you can tell what they were...
Let's see if you think the same thing about this one...

DSCN0340.jpg

Ha ha! Yes, we were afraid of melting since we are so sweet. :rolleyes1 Or more like I didn't need to recreate the scene from the Wizard of Oz with the witch melting... I'm melting.... :sad2: Ok, enough theatrics there.

Wow! What a rain storm. Good idea to duck it out. I do like the pics after a good shower.

The good thing after those storms is that everything is pretty and glistens in the sun. The bad thing is how humid it is after... yikes.

I'm definitely returning again since the service for the most part has been spectacular, the food has been mediocre, but the theming is amazing. Altogether, the positives outweigh the negatives. Once I've tried lunch I'll be able to weigh in to say if that is a good option.

Hi Oscarsmummy! Thank you so much for joining in and letting me know that you are reading! :) If you gave up an entire day to read and get caught up then I hope the rest of the TR is a worthwhile read - that's an amazing time commitment. Thank you!

I hope you enjoy BLT. You can't beat the location!

Oh thank you for all the compliments. You are very sweet.

Happy Easter Brenda!

That lemonade spill totally looked like an egg.

Sorry the food at BOG hasn't been wonderful. I've read quite a few unhappy reports on the French Onion Soup. For such a well known item, not sure why they didn't go with a more traditional recipe.

Hi Phil and thanks for the Easter greeting. I saw the photos of Olivia and Peter on FB and they were adorable with all their Easter goodies. :)

Yep, someone made me look! It really looked like an egg at first glance. If there had been an egg shell laying nearby that would have been different....

Maybe I just need to admit that I'm a picky eater and it's all me! :rotfl2: But yeah, that soup wasn't my thing.

The Tangled bathrooms are the best! I could hang out there for hours, so you won't hear any complaints from me about more photos.

Haha, I definitely see an egg on the pavement!

I know you love the Tangled rest area as well. I can't imagine any complaints coming from you.

A steak sandwich sounds like my kind of choice for lunch. I would choose that or the turkey sandwich. I've already perused the lunch menu in hopes that we'll fit it in next trip. :) I agree, it's the theming that is spectacular.

I've tasted the potato leek soup but not ordered an entire bowl. Our first visit I couldn't decide what to order but then didn't go with that option since it wasn't that wonderful. I make potato leek soup occasionally so it has to be better than mine for me to order. Guess what? It wasn't! :lmao:

I like your thinking! Next time I'd skip the soup and have a strawberry cupcake and then have another one for dessert. That sounds like a great BoG meal. :thumbsup2

You can never visit the Tangled Restrooms too many times! It's such a beautifully themed area.

And yes, that does look like a fried egg! :lmao: I'm assuming you didn't do a taste test to confirm? ;)

Hi Dave! You've completely changed my perspective of the Tangled restrooms with your amazing Wishes over the Tangled restrooms photo. I think of that photo when I think of the err restrooms. ;)

Noooooo, no taste test since I like my eggs a little more well done than that. :)

Hi Mary Ellen! The custodian guy came over when we were looking at it and apparently he's seen a lot of frozen lemonade on the ground since he immediately knew what it was. Hmph! I was fascinated thinking it was an egg at first.

Ha ha! I'm picturing losing an exposed limb to the melting phenomenon. At least it wasn't like Denny's experience on Kali RR.

We were rested and back four our ADR without missing a beat. :thumbsup2 It's great to be so close in order to do that.

I liked the picture you posted of the Golden Ship in Peter Pan's Flight. I think I just commented in KatMark's report that I rarely see that picture. And boom- now I have seen it twice in like a week.

:thumbsup2

This is your brain.

This is your brain on drugs (or on Disney pavement)

Any questions?

( I hope people remember this PSA from the 80's. Otherwise this comment is kinda creepy)

Very tall photographer!

Sorry that your onion soup at BOG was disappointing. I had a similar thing happen when I ordered clam chowder in Puerto Rico. The waitress warned me that the broth was tomato based, and being a true New England girl, I should have taken her warning. But I didn't. I thought I could handle it, but tomato just does not belong in chowder. And onion soup NEEDS a beef broth base.

Where have I been? All the updates!! You have been busy.

That IS an egg by all appearances.

From what I have read on the boards, it would see lunch is better at BOG. Biggest difference I see is no Beast at lunch and the full service dinner and counter service lunch.

I'll never get tired of seeing pictures of the Tangled restrooms, so thanks for posting yours. :thumbsup2 If they can do all that with a bathroom, they should certainly be able to make a fabulous Tangled attraction or meet & greet location, am I right??

Ugh, getting stuck in monsoons sucks, especially when you are trying to find cover! Ducking (ha!) into PhilharMagic is a great way to get out of the wet!

I laughed out loud at that pic of the "egg"! It certainly does look like one!!

Lovely dinner at BoG. It's really so beautiful in there.

I can't believe I fell so far behind on all my subscriptions! Real life has a nasty habit of interfering with my Dis time! ::yes::

First of all, huge congrats to Emily on her engagement! She's going to be a beautiful bride!

I hate getting caught in those sudden Florida storms! They certainly come out of nowhere and will drench a person in no time flat. Frank and I got caught in one after dinner at Tutto Italia on one trip. It was raining so hard it looked like a solid sheet of water and with the wind, it was going sideways, lol. Of course that was the one time I forgot the ponchos so we were soaked to our socks as soon as we stepped out into it. We then proceeded to shiver in a bus with the a/c set to the "polar ice cap" setting. Ah, those Disney memories ... :lmao:

Glad you got to check "watch Wishes from the Poly beach" off your must-do list. Even though you didn't stay for the finale, it still counts! :thumbsup2

I love MK at night! New Fantasyland is gorgeous and I never get tired of the Tangled area. Disney did a great job there (including the bathrooms ;) )

Sorry your meal at BoG wasn't the best. Nancy and I had a wonderful experience there as the ambience, service and food was excellent. However, I think our experience was an exception to the rule as I've read more unfavourable reviews than favourable ones. At least you got a squeeze from the Beast!

That totally looks like a fried egg!

Loved the pics and DL DisMeet reports!

Ok, all caught up and ready for more ... popcorn::

Loving the TR as usual!

That seriously does look like an egg to me too!

What did you order on your first trip to BOG? We love the steak that is offered there although the french fries are VERY salty.

You must be busy getting ready to go again. So excited I'm sure!!

You can never have too many pictures of the Tangled bathroom area. :)

Sorry about the rain; I was hoping it would end after we left for you girls.

That certainly looks like an egg to me on the sidewalk.

Beautiful photos inside the Beast's castle.

Glad ya'll managed to stay dry in the monsoon!! And had a nice break back at the resort!!
oh man that lemonade REALLY does look like an egg! Bahah

So sad BOG was less than stellar for you! I have had some not so great experiences there but will always return lol

Hey there Brenda! Sorry its been so long but alas I am caught up....took me long enough geez. I find it funny that you have never seen the part of space mountain on the peoplemover. Our first trip we had the blackout tunnel version and thought it was and odd part of the ride, but then on trip number two it was working and so we were like, ah okay that makes more sense lol. Like you said sometimes its working sometimes not. I think I remember the ride stopping on us one time while we were in the blackout tunnel and it was none too fun. With the number of trips that you have been on it is kind of weird that it never works for you.....hmmmm maybe it is a conspiracy....

Pooh Merge....lol that is funny. What does that even mean?! I have to know!

I will be so jealous if you guys get to ride the mine train when it first opens. The earliest that we will be back to WDW will not be until next year and I think I might burst at the seams before then!

Ahhh I cannot get enough of the Ariel ride at MK! Seriously I could take a million pictures and never get tired of looking at them....this themeing is perfection IMO. And an Ariel meet and greet right after.....throw in Voyage of the Little Mermaid at HS and you would have had a Rob Little Mermaid trifecta!

Topping the night off with a little ETWB sounds great to me. I wish that we had been able to do this on our last trip, but it will definitely be a top priority on our next one for sure. A game of I spy in the cottage sounds like so much fun! Having the portal already open.....:sad2: what's up with that?

Waking up to the view you had of the bay in the morning sounds like heaven. And breakfast at Kona? Goodness this is sooooo on my bucket list and I want to try those darn pancakes so bad I could scream! They look so very very good....now your trip report is making me hungry....lol.

Great pictures of you two with Mickey and also the castle! Your story of the little girl that did not want to stop kissing Mickey is precious....I love Disney so much, such wonderful things happen here! I will miss legacy fastpass so much. Everytime I see a pic posted on a TR of someone holding one I get so sad.....

So cool to talk with people who are in the DCP! You are right they always have so much Disney energy....love it! I really wish that I had known about this program when I graduated from high school especially since I was a theater major....ah well.

Brenda you can never post too many pictures of the Tangled Bathrooms lol. I am in love with this area. Seriously if I could find a way to build this in my backyard (which is open woods) I would live out there. Seriously I could totally see myself just reading a book, catching up on the DIS....you get it right? GAH, it's okay to dream right? Your BOG pictures make me miss it sooo much!!

Alright so now I am caught up so you can write some more lol! Can't wait :goodvibes
