I'm not sure which section to post this in - I apologize if this isn't the right one!

We are DVC/PAP holders. If my son were to sign up for a YES class with a group, would we be able to use our APs for admission with just a fee for the class? And if we were to sign up, there is a good chance that I would take along some of my nieces/nephews (and possibly some of their parents would go along), none of which are DVC/AP holders.

I just want to make sure I fully understand how it would work first for us, then adding them in to the mix so that I can decide if it's doable before mentioning it to anyone. :)

Ooh - thanks! I was having trouble searching on my iPad (it kept finding every instance of the word "yes" and I gave up)

The short answer is that any adult who accompanies the student has to pay through the YES program. Even if you have tickets or a pass, if you will be attending you pay YES. They are a separate entity from WDW.

So if you are bring other adults, who do not have some kind of AP, they can accompany the student at the YES rate. Those who have PAP/tickets would not be included in the class, but 1 more adult and other children can get discounted tickets through YES.

We've done the program twice. The kids LOVED their classes. The discounts aren't as great as they used to be. Some think it isn't worth the 3 hrs, but my kids voted for the class over park time.
