YES program

There must be a catch. Is there a catch?:confused3

Not a catch, but you can't use YES tickets as part of a Magic Your Way package (which is why they can't be added to your KTTW card). Soooo...if an offer comes out for your travel dates (such as Free Dining), you can't take advantage of said offer.

Wow, that's great. I had to cancel my reservations in the free dining period because of work conflicts, and the room class I want isn't available for the summer room-only discount, so this looks like it's for me.

It saves $255 off 2 7-day park hoppers from the Undercover Tourist prices.

We paid $185 or something for 4 day premium which is a 4 day park hopper and 3 day water park. We have not visited the water parks before as the kids were really small and were happy with the pool, but for this cost, we figured we can try it. Besides, we are DVC members so no free dining for us so thats not an issue.

Oh I am so excited to try this for our trip back in May 2013 (fingers crossed!!:thumbsup2)

I don't think they usually have it in May. I think this year and last it was sometime in Jan up to mid Feb, then starts back up again mid June to Oct.

Maybe next year will be different, but I know this year it stopped Feb. until June. :(

This is very cool. We were getting bored of Disney but this would totally make us come back again.

You don't qualify for free dining when you buy Yes tickets. However, we rented points from Davids DVC, bought the 8 day YES tickets, stayed at OKW and BWV for 10 nights and paid out of pocket for the ddp.
Guess what? It cost us what it would have cost to stay at a moderate resort.

The only other drawback is the tickets are only offered certain times of year. There weren't any classes available for this trip so we decided to go with AP's this year.

There is a huge YES thread on the Budget Board where you can ask questions and find out all of the information.

We did free dining with YES and just did not use the 2-day base we were required to purchase for the free dining for our October trip. We are using the 2-day base tics next month and will upgrade them with an additional 3-5 days when we arrive.

We had already bought YES tics prior to free dining coming out for October. Even with the add-on tics the difference in price compared to the package with room discount we would have gone with, it was a very small increase in cost for October's trip and we just had to plan a return trip for SWW/F&G/WWOHP.

I signed my DS10 up for a class about animation he is soo excited:banana::cool1:, I had been planning a lot around my DD4 who will be going for the 1st time. I wanted my DS to feel special & excited too especially because we wouldn't be there for STAR WARS weekends. Now each have something to look forward to, and my DH appreciates my manic, compulsive nature to search look & find the best deals :rotfl2:
If anyone has done the animation class please share.

Can you add no expiration to your park passes? Does anyone know?
