YES Program question---AP holders?

I've been looking around on the YES Program site (also for Homeschool Days), and I am unable to buy class tickets without purchasing a park ticket package. As an AP holder, I have no need for more tickets. The YES office has closed for the day at this time, so I cannot phone them to ask.

Is there any way to buy the tickets for the YES classes without buying more Disney tickets? OR---if I am required to buy tickets (park), can I use them for another time when my AP runs out?

Surely there is a way for an AP holder to register and pay for YES classes without buying more park tickets, right?

No unfortunately because YES classes are tied to YES Ticket purchase. Unless you are a Florida resident (minimum of 1 day YES Ticket purchase required) the least amount of days that you could purchase on the YES Ticket is 3 days. The tickets do not have no expiration option like regular park ticket- they are valid 1 week before your arrival date and expire 1 week after departure date; as far as I know they do not let these dates span more than a month, maybe 2 at the most so that probably does not give enough time for your AP's to expire and then still have YES Tickets that are valid.

Aw, that's a real shame then. I guess we'll have to pass. I can't see paying for tickets when we don't need them.

I would give YES group a call anyway just to be sure that there is absolutely nothing that can be done; it can't hurt and you never know, since this program is growing in popularity maybe they are willing to start thinking on considering some changes to make it more accessible to AP holders.
