Yes, I do still love my kids even if I don't buy their Spring school pictures

luvmy3 - obviously your children are not "snowflakes". How dare you have a user name of luvmy3.

Sincerely,
another mom who NEVER, EVER purchased the spring pics.

I never buy spring pics , they are awful. I always buy the fall pics, but the smallest package.

I spend tons of money every year on professional pics that I actually like, no need to have pics I won't give out or display.

I don't think they will need therapy lol, I have at least 20 pics if not more of them displayed around the house at all times.

Oh I don't buy yearbooks either until they hit 5th grade either LOL.. yeah I know BADDD MOM!!!

Up until this year, I bought the spring pictures. Mom guilt. But this year, I just couldn't do it. My youngest was sick that day, so he didn't get his done. The picture of my oldest was horrible. They had him in this odd position on a table, and his feet were on a stool, and it looked like he was wearing high waters!

No way was I going to pay money for something that made it look like his pants were five inches too short. Now, if it had one of those nifty laser beam backgrounds, I may have thought it was funny or retro.

Well, I love my son too much to purchase school pictures. He always looks dorky in them anyway, because he hates picture day. When I feel we need pictures, DBIL does them since he's a professional photographer.

I'm nowhere near that stage yet, but I likely wouldn't buy them either. We have a dear friend who is a gifted photographer and we'd use her way before getting school pics or studio protraits done.

I don't buy any school pictures at the new school. I dont want to take out a loan for them. They are 3 times more expensive for the cheap package than the most expensive one at the old school and I have 3 dd.

This is the first year my DDs have had spring pictures. They just took them last week and we are not getting them back for another 4 weeks. I don't know if I will buy them or not. Depends on how they look.
I did not buy the Fall pictures. We were in Disney when it was picture day and even though they had my girls take the pictures on the make up day I never sent in the order form.

My kids take really great school pics so when I see them I can't say no, although the price of them is usually nuts.

We just sent back my dd's spring pictures and yes I did feel a bit guilty b/c she had a beautiful dress on that matched the background perfectly BUT...the photos didn't even look like her (the camera added a good 10-15 pounds!) and the pose looked like she was purposely being propped up for the photo

The fall pics will slightly better...I just think that the company who does the pictures are awful. My son goes to a different school and the folks who do their fall and spring pictures seem to be more talented. The pictures are more in focus, the poses are more natural and the lighting seems better.

I sent my sons spring pics back today. He wore the same shirt he had on in his fall pics (which I spent a lot on) and he wasn't wearing his glasses. I assured him that I did in fact still love him- he seemed to believe me.:hippie:

They do them 3 times a year here too! Fall, usually right after school starts, Christmas and spring. Of course there are all the sports pics too! I purposely dressed my daughter in something that would clash hideously with the Christmas background so I wouldn't be tempted to buy them. :lmao: I did have to buy a sheet of the spring ones since she cut out one to give to DH to put on his desk. How could I be mad at that?? But, $12 for one lousy sheet of pictures...

Well it looks like there will be alot of us with huge therapy bills for all our kids sessions :lmao:
