Save yourself the stress of "viewing" your reservation if you booked online with National. The Disney discount no longer is appearing. I called and was assured that my initial rate is still valid. Very scary since the difference in price is $30.

KEEP YOUR E-MAIL CONFIRMATIONS AND TAKE WITH YOU!

I learned a long time ago never to "check" my existing reservation at the National website. It ALWAYS changes something for me.

And since I've been checking rates since February and it's gone up and down so much since then, I really don't want to mess with it.

I'm pretty happy with what I have now and I'm pretty sure they will honor it. I've got a base rate of $124. Full size EA for 10 days (Nov/Dec) for a total of $179. Not bad.

I can't stress this enough....do NOT check an existing ressies on the National webiste! If you want to see if rates have gone up or down, do a new ressies.

beattyfamily,

Has it been your experience that rates rarely go down the month you are traveling? I have a reservation this month. Should I even bother to look? I have a total rate of $115 for a week.

The rate you have is excellent, and they usually do not go down the month you are leaving.
I managed a rate of 113.35 for a week, all taxes and stuff, full size Emerald Aisle.
I would be thrilled if it went down any further, but, in reality, it actually went up about 11.00 before the National site crashed. I learned this by creating an entirely new ressie, I learned long ago NOT to mess with what you have. :)

That's a very good rate!

I don't think you'll get anything much better than that but it never hurts to keep checking.

I started in February for my Nov/Dec trip and haven't seen anything less than $124 base rate.

I will continue to check it till my trip arrives.

Good luck!

what codes are you using to get these great rates. I joined the emerald club and am playing around with it. I am not going until aug2002 for 14days and the best price I got thru national and avis was $353 taxes included. Is this too far away to get good rates?

i used the DC code and my coupon from my Skymiles Statement from Delta for 20.00.
You might be a tad early to find many price breaks for next August.
