I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed the Creative Memories catalog was WRONG!! How can you mess that up? I too am a certified Disney Dork. DH is telling me to get off the computer it's 1:00 AM and he needs the computer. Well it's his fault for buying me this laptop, cuz till I had my own computer I didn't have time to read any message boards. Now I'm totally hooked on the Dis.

I work in an IT support shop. One day, I get a call from a customer out east. Expecting some sort of networking problem or software question, I answer the phone. Here's what he says "Hey there, I wondered if maybe I could get your advice on a Disney vacation I'm planning" .... umm... do I bill this call?

I can SOOOOOOO relate. I am a SAHM and my SO (retail) calls me from work at least once a week because he and a customer where chatting and Disney came up. "Honey(he doesnt really call me that, it just sounded good..lol), so and so is in buying something and he/she would like to know how much it is for his/her family to go to WDW __________(fill in a date here). " I just sigh and say, "get their email addy and I will mail them the quote from the official site" SIGH...I am telling you, I AM going to start charging for this. GOd ppl, pick up your mouse and look, not that hard

. What do you all do about the people who say "What ... you're going again?" Some of our family can be critical. I guess they just don't get it. I try not to be offended, simply say ... "Yep, girls are still little & they enjoy it. Plus, there is SOOOO much to do there that we haven't quite done everything we'd like yet." Relatives aren't quite so "critical" now that I've told them how much ****I**** enjoy WDW, but I still think they think I'm a freak. .

Try this ( I saw this once from a poster on here) Just simply say to them,
IT"S A DISNEY THING. IF YOU UNDERSTOOD, YOUR ONLY QUESTION WOULD BE....CAN I GO?
I have long ago stopped trying to explain why and I now just say the above. Usually shuts them up pretty quick cause they get confused and have to think about what I just said. Great time to change the subject. We dont even tell ppl when we are going anymore, tho this next week will be our last vacation trip down there..working on the move south and towards no snow...At least hurricanes dont last for 3 months straight

Yes, I'm a pretty shy person, and everytime I hear someone say something like "Oh no we only went to Disney World, we didn't go to Epcot or MGM", it's the only thing that keeps me from spewing out "you DO don't know anything" type of talk at them

Also, beware anyone having a conversation with me that says the words "Disney World" ...you've just opened yourself up to hours of enthusiastic praise, tips and recommendations

I know, right!! Apparently, they DON'T know if they think Disney World is just the Magic Kingdom!! I mean, COME ON!!!!
I'm right there with you- I just hear "Disney" and I'm off on my tangent, going on and on about it... For some, that's annoying, but most have come to know that I'm all about Walt Disney World, and am willing to share whether they want to hear it or not!!!

Ugggg, I hate that question too. When people ask me why I'm going again, my blood boils! I LOVE the response saying, "It's a Disney thing. If you understood you'd say can I come!" So true. I will definitely have to use that one. I also like to tell people that I haven't only been to Disney, I've been to Mexico, Germany, Norway, Africa, Hollywood...That always gets a rise out of the Disney doubters

Big Dork here as well. Well atleast my license plate says DVC nut and people always ask "what is a DVC? Hello.....? Then when I tell them, they look at me like I have six heads and eighteen eyes. (You wanna keep going back?)

Some of my friends who have known for atleast 10 years have now gone to our most beloved home and are starting to understand. One of my girlfriends even states she is now a disney fanatic... So I guess I have gone from a dork to disney queen in a matter of years in her mind.

But atleast we are all in good company and totally get each other...

Ever notice that (to some) we are Disney Dorks, they wonder why we'd go back, etc-----until they start planning their own trip, then suddenly we are experts. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind. I love helping other people plan their trips, it is a lot of fun, but I have noticed a few times people thinking we are silly to go down so often (until they go and then get hooked!!!) Call me a dork, call me an expert, I don't care... Just As Long As You Call Me When A Good Code Comes Out!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure everyone in my grade at school knows me as "That girl with the freaky disney obsession."
My pencils are disney, I'm getting a new mickey purse, a lot of my shirts are disney.
I do projects, and poems about disney.
A lot of them just think it's for little kids, but they have it all wrong!
There are a couple others who go to disney for vacation but they aren't obsessed like I am.
When my friends were going to the disney for the first time I started telling them everything I had to do, brought out this small wallet picture thing that had pictures from the parks on it and showed them.
They weren't as interested as I hope they would be, but for the amount of time I got to tell them all about it, it was fun.

I'm a disney dork and proud!
