Yep, I took a picture of that (9100 total) COMPLETED 9/1

Happy Belated Birthday Tina!!!

Sorry I have not been on the dis for a few days, Tina you share a special month, I am the official mother of a TEENAGE BOY!!:upsidedow:laughing::banana: and every other emotion I could add.

Wow Erin's Pub, that is a nice quick date night for Joe and I. My dad used to sleep sit for us when the kids were real little, the rule was they had to be sleeping and then he would come over so Joe could get his prime rib fix.

The part when you said you were whispering to the boys each day made me cry at work. You wrapped up exactly why I love going to Disney so much, I think it is all about the memories. I may get flamed here, but my daughter first trip at 3 1/2, I don't think I got on many rides at all, but just seeing her face as we took everything in, and meeting her future husband (Aladdin) was all I ever needed for that trip.

Talk to you real soon. Our schools start Tuesday, so last minute shopping must commence.

Kim

Oh I have been freaking out since I made my $200 deposit!!! 100 Day Dance TOMORROW!!! We're on the DDxP so there will be LOTS of eatin done!!! You should check out my potential ADR's on my PTR - give me your 2 cents!

Way to go on the new camera! A+ pictures!

I wish I could say more but the only place I won't go back to, out of all the places we ate at it, would be 50's Prime time and we've never even eaten at Animal Kingdom yet. Every place on your list (if I recognized it) was excellent. Next year I think we will be eating at all new restaurants except for Cape May Cafe......gotta do the Cafe EVERY trip!

I hope we will be able to get to that point without medication!:rotfl2:

If Erin's ever moves to Disney, I better get a freebie for putting the idea in their head by plugging it on my report!

You'd have thought that 6 Flags or Dorney Park would have figured it out by now. People will travel a couple of hours to get on thrill rides, but they will travel around the world for the memories. Something I read a while ago blew me away the more I thought about it was that 10 percent of all amateur photography is done at Disney World. That's a lot of memories!

I did 50's when I went as a nanny back in '06 - I wasn't sold! I also don't think the theme is up DF alley. So we'll Sci-Fi it instead!

Sell me on Cape May... I have 8 days til my ADR day!

Hi everyone! there were some people asking about the Phineas and Ferb shirts. I actually found that design on the boards here, uncer the creative DISigns section of the forum. If you have trouble finding it, PM me with your email and I will try to send it to you. You will need to have a printer that is able to reverse images and iron-on transfer paper (sold at Walmart, Target, etc) it is really easy to do. You should definately check out the DISigns section on here, they have some awesome things there!! Good Luck!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Guys and Gals I have completed my report. I was hoping to have it all up tonight but I had some issues uploading some of the pics. I just spent the last few hrs getting everything worked out and it's all ready to go. Unfortunately I'm exhausted right now but I will post it as soon as I get up in the morning. Thanks for bearing with me!

Looking at the pictures I have left, I’m really sad that the trip report is almost over. It’s been a lot of fun so far reliving the whole vacation and being able to share it with all of you. Thanks for sticking around and listening to me ramble off and on. That being said, lets see if we can’t wrap this up soon.

Still on June 8th

After we left the Brown Derby we walked around and visited a few shops and just admired some of the views.

Walking past the magic hat I noticed another little thing I don’t remember from last year…

dis1456.jpg

Just like I’ve been saing the whole time, it’s the little things that really make me smile when I noticed them!

We made our way back to Toy Story to use our fastpasses we got earlier. I have to say, those fastpasses make SUCH a huge difference! 10 minutes and we were back in our cars ready to throw rings around everything that moved. The downside to having the fastpasses is there wasn’t any time to take any real pictures! I did grab a few of course…..
dis1458.jpg

I know that usually everything in Disney has some sort of meaning to it and usually nothing is just random so if anyone has any idea what the numbers on the barcode mean, please chime in at any time!

dis1459.jpg

As for the rest of the pictures, I guess because the ride is in 3D the pictures are blurry and you can’t make anything out. I was able to get this though…..

dis1468.jpg

That was Nate and my scores. For being only 5, I’d say he did pretty good!

After we left TSM we came outside to this little guy
dis1490.jpg

He’s a little remote controlled alien from Toy Story. The boys had no clue that the CM working at the kiosk was messing with them, they thought the alien kept following them because he wanted to play! He kept the boys busy for a few minutes and we had to beg them to come get in the stroller. We ran down the blvd to try to catch the 9pm show for Fantasmic! Of coarse I was the straggler trying to taking pictures while keeping pace with Tina whom, if you have ever seen her on the elliptical machine at the gym, you’d know it’s not easy. So, with about 4 minutes left till F! starts I grabbed these while jogging.

There was no way I’d be able to take ANY pictures again at the show. When we got in, it was just about full to capacity. We had standing room only and all the way up top. Tina and I took turns on which boy we wanted to hold up so they could at least see something going on. And the heat? WOW! It’s crazy just how hot it is up there! As tired as we were and as much as we were sweating profusely, I didn’t want to be anywhere else at that moment. Our last night in any of the parks and we were able to end it with our favorite show.

Tired, sweaty, and sore all over, we left there and head back to the ferry. Writing this now, I still remember the pit in my stomach and the tear in my eye when I looked over my shoulder on our way out knowing full well that someday we would be returning….just not soon enough. Back to the Beach House we go for one last night in paradise and one last look across the lake.

Well, we’ve made it this far I guess it’s time to wrap it up.

TUSEDAY JUNE 9th our 10th and final day of our trip.

This morning we woke up early to get cleaned up and packed. We kept saying that it would be nice to get home and start back with our routines, but really I thing a few more weeks would have been nice too!

Tina hopped on the internet to check a few things including our flight for that evening and the weather.

dis007.jpg

While we were there, we heard on the news about the Air France flight that went down and that they were attributing it to a possible lightning strike. The website we checked the weather on said we may see some rain but Philly was supposed to get slammed. Great. We tried to keep that out of our minds as we got things together.

I made reservations at the Cape May Café for breakfast as kind of a farewell meal. One last time to see the characters and to say our goodbyes. We arrived around 8:20, just a little bit early and waited for our table.

Within about 5 minutes we were seated and this nice gentleman came over to see if we needed anything

We grabbed a few things from the buffet and I said something about Donald being here this year and walking around in the back. Do you think Nate was excited? (Notice Donald on the right?)

dis027a.jpg

Ten minutes later we were telling him we wouldn’t be back for a long time. He gave out high fives and signed the autograph books and bid us farewell.

dis028.jpg

dis029.jpg

dis030.jpg

Goofy was so nice, he came back over just to say goodbye one last time.

dis032a.jpg

Than the owner stopped bye and listen to our sad story about leaving her. She wanted us to stay but it was too late to change our flight so she signed the books and poised for a few pictures.

With a sigh and our heads hung low, we left our favorite dinning room and went back upstairs to get our swimsuits on. Earlier, we had weighed our options and thought it would be too rushed to get to a park before we needed to head to the airport so today was going to be a pool day. Bell service came and took our bags and held them till the van came to pick us back up. For the next few hrs we just enjoyed life by the pool. The boys talked me into joining them and Tina stayed out and talked to Mommom Ginny poolside. I’d like to say I have pictures of that but my camera isn’t exactly waterproof, or insured. After getting dried off and changed I snuck off to grab a few pictures of the hotel one last time.

The lobby area upstairs and down……

With one last long look around, it was time to go. Our Flight was set for 5:40 and we knew we should be there 2 hrs ahead of time so off to the van we went. Mommom Ginny isn’t to keen on the Magical Express still so she insisted on having a van to go to and from MCO.

We arrived at the airport and the guy outside checked our flight and everything is right on time….so far. We checked in our luggage and headed for their monorail. Kind of like one last ride we told the boys.
dis143.jpg

dis144.jpg

As we’re sitting there with an hr and a half to wait, I get a phone call from Southwest to let us know our flight was today at 5:40. I had almost hung up when I heard them say it was going to be delayed for 45 minutes. OK, 45 minutes isn’t SO bad right? By than it had started pouring outside, but this is Florida and the rain usually blows over right. Well, kinda. Even though the rain stopped within ½ hr, Philly was now a no fly zone because of the nasty storms they were seeing. Long story short, 3 hrs later Philly finaaly opened up and we were finally on the plane.

dis145.jpg

We head out to the runway and for some reason we went right past it. Guess what? Philly is shut down again! We sat on the tarmat (sp?) for over an hr and since we handed in our boarding passes, we couldn’t get off the plane. Original depart time was 5:40 at 9:20 we finally took off.

dis146.jpg

I loved having the window seat at night. Everything just looks so small and peaceful. From up here there is no crime, no bad areas to live in, not anything bad, just nice to look at.

I tried to take some pictures of the storm clouds we flew past or even the lightning from the ones we flew through, but nothing came out all that good. Finally, just past 1am we touched down, tired, hungry, and exhausted but glad to be home safe. The captain said we had to fly way west to go around the storms in D.C. which added on another 1-1 1/2 hrs. The car ride home was quiet, partly because it was late but also because we already missed the beach house. I’ll leave you with this last picture I took just before we left, it’s what the Beach Club and our trip to Disney means to me.

As promised, there will be a bonus section coming real soon with a lot of stuff from the Photopass CD. Hopefully this trip report will be marked completed by the end of the week.

Thank you all for sticking it out with me all this time and for all the nice comments I got from everyone. I hope each and every one who read this report was either able to close their eyes and remember their dream vacation to WDW or got some ideas for their first one. Goodnight everybody. I hope to see you real soon.

Rob you are killing me I am crying again at work. I hope your next trip will be just as wonderful and we get to read about it and even better see your great pictures.

Hope to see you, Tina, Nate and Logan around home some day.

Sent GiGi off to school today for her first day at 1st grade.

Awww, I get sad on the last day of a trip report. But then a little part of me is happy because I know I'm not the only one!!!

That last picture of your boys is adorable.

And I must say, I was shocked when my flight made it back to ROC on time in August, I never count on an afternoon/evening flight in the summertime being anywhere close to ontime. Whatcha gonna do? I'd rather be safe on the ground that up in a storm!

Thanks so much for such a wonderful report & all of the great photos. That last one is the best, though. :goodvibes

Rob you are killing me I am crying again at work.

Last night at work after I typed it up I kind of walked around and
thought, "Well, now what?" It's been alot of fun going over everything again through pictures, now it's time to start the planning all over again!

I hope your next trip will be just as wonderful and we get to read about it and even better see your great pictures.

I can't wait to start writing it! I guess I have to go first though huh? So far we are thinking Next Nov. So hopefully by Dec I'll be back in the TR section

Hope to see you, Tina, Nate and Logan around home some day.
Maybe once I get used to my camera I'll come out to a dance recital with Mike and take some pictures.

Sent GiGi off to school today for her first day at 1st grade.
We start Kindergarten next week with Nate and the following with Logan going to Pre-School! I'm not sure I'm ready for all of this!

All good things must come to an end I guess. I really enjoyed the whole thing and can't wait to start on my second one next year!

That last picture of your boys is adorable.
Definitely one of my favorites:thumbsup2

Next time I'll keep that in mind so my Mom and I don't plan on going to work the next day!
