CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Yecats - Me, myself and I.
Me is Single, 33 (however, other two personalities - myself is about 10 years old and an advid SM freak and the I personality may be about 60 years especially after getting off of the ToT).
Also on board is my new Canon ZR65 Digital Videocamera nicknamed: Handycam, as it was always in my hand.
PLAN FOR THE DAY:
1. Breakfast at Boatwrights
2. MGM in the rain
3. Friendship boat tour of Epcot resorts
4. World Showcase
5. Le Cellier again (Part 2)
6. Epcot (Part 2)
7. Back to hotel for next mousekeeping adventure (Part 2)
8:30 ringy, ringy. Let me guess it's Mickey again telling me to get up. Okay, I have to admit, I'm a little tired of the Mickey wake up call. Couldn't they have Donald give me a grumpy wake up call. Okay now everyone, how do you know your in Florida? Because of the thunderstorms, yes its raining. I found out two days ago watching the news that it was going to rain this day.
My original plan for today was to hang out at Typhoon Lagoon from about 10:00 til 2:00 or 3:00 depending on how much fun I was having and then head over to Epcot for my LeCellier dinner ressie. Well when I found out it was going to rain I changed my plans. So up and about I go. As this was the next cold front coming through, I had packed my larger water proof bag for today with my jacket in it.
At about 9:00 I started my walk on over Boatwrights as I have a 9:10 ressie. I had my Mickey poncho on even though it was lightly raining at this time. I walked in and was seated immediately. I really wanted to eat Beignets (missing home just a tad) or a Mickey waffle (revenge for waking me up everyday in that cheery tone) but alas neither one were on the menu. I decided to go the route of the Crescent City Toast once again and a large Chocolate Milk. Even though I had this earlier in the week, I decided to forgo the fruit as it was a bit too much last time. Once again I am served very promptly with a huge portion of toast and bacon on the plate. Yummy once again. I was seated next to a family of 3 who had the cutest baby of about 10 months who kept throwing his toy at me. The mom and dad kept apologizing but I thought it was cute, he just wanted to play with someone while his parents ate. Anyway, payed the bill ($14 with tip) and walked through the general store out to the front bus area.
5 minutes later I am on a bus and headed to MGM. It was lightly raining when I got off the bus and walked in the front gate but of course the rain began to pour pushing everyone into the stores so I did a bit of shopping then headed to Rock N' Roller Coaster to ride once. Wow is always my expression after riding. Okay over to Beauty and the Beast (drizzling again) and Four for a Dollar opened the show. I just love them. They did 3 songs and sung Happy Birthday to a lady in the audience. Then the show began which Handycam was more than happy to film. Afterwards onto The Great Movie Ride. Of course as I am walking down the street towards GMR it begins to pour and you see people skatter everywhere. Anyway there were very few people in GMR (and the CM's held us there for about 8 minutes waiting to get a vehicle full of people). I ended up sitting directly behind the CM driving the people mover and of course took more film of the GMR. Afterwards onto Millionaire - Play it and running to it in the middle of a downpour. 40 minutes later and running over to Muppets 3D as I missed the preshow earlier in the week. Saw it, loved it and decided that it was time for me to leave. On the way out I checked out Star Tours again, one or two more shops and left while it was still drizziling.
For some unknown reason, I decided heading toward the bus for Epcot to instead change course and take the friendship boat over to Epcot. The boat had a nice crowd on it but everyone was seated. 15 minutes later we are docking by the Swan and Dolphin and 10 minutes later we are over by the YC/BC. I decided to get off and visit (really unplanned and I truly forgot that I even did this until I reviewed my notes a few minutes ago). I just walked around briefly but was looking for something to snack on as it was about 1:30, so ended up at Beaches and Cream and got icecream. Ooh, yummy, yummy. Anyway came out at the end of the last major rain storm of the day and back on the friendship boat and over to Boardwalk to pick up last passengers before Epcot.
It was around 2:30 when I entered the World Showcase. As I would be back in Canada tonight, I decided to hit up the UK and sat there watching the Beetles band for about 20 minutes. It was drizziling on and off but several of us were standing in our Mickey poncho's enjoying the rain and the Beetles. The rain would very shortly stop for the day (it was a grey cloudy day about 72 degrees and dropping to 48/50 tonight.) I then decided to head on over to France (which is missing its Eiffel Tower). I haven't seen the movie (Impressions de France) there in years even though I remember really liking it. I sat next to an older single solo male visiter and had a nice chat until the film began. Anyway, I still love this film and the way it makes you feel as though you are flying over France.
Came out and browsed through the shops. By the way Belle and the Beast were making an appearance over by the gardens and behind the perfume shop. There wasn't really a line and I just happened upon them while browsing the perfume shop. I don't think a lot of parents realize that Belle/Beast are behind the shop as you cannot easily see them and would have to walk through the shop to notice they are there. Anyway over to the bakery. I both love and hate this place all at the same time. Why (Que se???),because I go in there to purchase an eclaire (the type that we use to buy here in Louisiana when I was a kid when there were still a number of original french family bakers around) but after looking at the tons of pastries, I then question if I really want the eclaire. Anyway, got the eclaire and milk and sat outside in my Mickey poncho enjoying the Chocolate eclaire.
Afterwards I then wondered over to Morocco (it had stopped raining and the clouds left were passing through quickly so removed the Mickey poncho), took some film, browsed the shops and then headed to Japan to do the same. I love the gardens in Japan (with the large coy fish, very peaceful) and took a good bit of film and pictures here including the drummer group which started. Afterwards onto the American Pavillion where I did a bit of shopping (there are several unique shirts and jackets in the store here and I kept questioning the rest of my time if I wanted a particular item or two - expensive - from here, ended up not purchasing them). Took several pictures as well and bought a few more pins. I decided that I did not want to see the American Adventure show as it is too long and runs on way longer than my attention span is willing too last but I love the inside of the building and did film a little bit of the choir singing before the show.
Onto Italy, as usual browsed through the shops which had a nice group of people in the area. It was that time of day when people had worked there way around the showcase to this area (4:30) and the sun had managed to come out for the last hour as the clouds had retreated. I also spotted the crowd watching the living statue and filmed him for several minutes with the various poses and gestures that he was doing for those that were taking pictures of him or with him. I would've taken a picture with him but that would've required someone handling my Handycam (no CM in site) and I really didn't want to trust a perfect stranger with my $600 of brand new equipment so I just filmed. Anyway, traveled onto Germany but just watched the train running around the little village area. I had to leave as my PS was approaching for dinner at LeCellier.
I retraced my path to Moroco and took the friendship boat around the World Showcase to Canada. We had to stop a few times as we began the run on the World Showcase due to the setting up of the various fireworks barges being moved around on the water for Illuminations. I filmed some of this as well as I had never noticed any of the setup for sthe show happening before and we passed right next to the World, you know that giant floating world ball that eventually opens up at the end of Illuminations. It was all pretty interesting to see being set up to go up 4 hours later. Anyway, I was relatively ready for dinner and heading to Canada.
