I get my yearbook this Thursday (I'm "moving up" from the junior high to the high school) and I'm a little stuck on what to write in my friends' books (other than inside jokes, etc.). Here's what I got so far:

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once and a while, you might miss it. -Ferris Bueller

It's pretty stupid and childish, but then again, so is high school. -Ferris Bueller

Not if I see you first. -Stand By Me (kind of an inside joke)

We're all pretty bizzare. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all. -The Breakfast Club

Screws fall out all the time. The world's an imperfect place. -The Breakfast Club

If somebody doesn't believe in me, I can't believe in them. -Pretty In Pink

Nothing gold can stay. -Robert Frost/The Outsiders (kind of an inside joke)

I'm looking for a dare to be great situation. -Say Anything

I think all you need is a small taste of success, and you will find it suits you. -Better Off Dead

Here, this one was in my yearbook:

If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x, y is play, and z is keeping your mouth shut. - Albert Einstein

When I graduated high school last year, my aunts made me a mix CD of songs full of things they wanted to say. It was really touching - I can't even listen to it without crying!

So my advice is to look at some songs, songs that your friends like, or that relate to how you feel about growing up and such.

High School is not for finding your husband, it's all about searching for the best brides maids. I wrote that in some of my friend's yearbooks this year, but I'm in high school so it may or may not work for you. (:

I graduated last year and this was mine
“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”
-Audrey Hepburn

but if I was graduating this year I'd use

"What do you do? You laugh. I'm not saying I don't cry, but in between, I laugh. And I realize how silly it is to take anything too seriously." - Garden State

what is the point of having free will if you can't sometimes spit in the eye of fte?

The Outsiders is my favorite book, so that's why I want to use it. I read it in 8th grade too (:

My senior quote this year is:

"The end is where we begin" ~Capt. Jack Harkness. (he's from Torchwood. I'm a scifi nerd).

But one of my faves is:

"We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves." ~Lynn Hall.

and another:

"Those who restrain desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained." ~William Blake.

That's so cute!!! I love it! :cutie:

I can't remember what I wrote off the top of my head I'll have to look for my yearbook tomorrow

One that I liked was:

"When life flashes in front of your eyes, make sure you have plenty to watch."
