yearbook costs

$12 for a middle school yearbook around here.
At my high school though, it varies-last year was $65. This year it's $55 for a basic yearbook, with an additional autograph section and dust cover (those extras are free if ordered before a certain date). If you want any personallization that's extra. I've gotten a yearbook every year, and they're generally $50-$60.

High School -- $74 (included name on it and extra autograph pages which I think was $5 or $6)

Elementary School -- $11

You have to be really careful with the add-ons on the yearbooks. When my middle child was in middle school, he filled out his order form and got everything. When the bill came, I marked off everything except the book. I allowed the high schooler to get a little bit extra this year but went strictly with the book for elementary. This is the first time we've done a major company (Josten's) for elementary and I was amazed that things like the Hear the Year CD were even offered to that age.

I paid $190 as a Senior package for DS.
This included yearbook, cap/gown, a dinner at a local restaurant, a Brick with his name on it for the new walkway (reminds me of Disney)...a few other things too, that I can't think of offhand. It was a significant savings getting the package. Do they offer something like that for your DD?

I guess I was unjustly shocked:rolleyes:

At least I feel better knowing everyone else is spending the same.

Lynn CC - she's not a senior yet, but the package sounds interesting. I love the brick idea.::yes::
