I just ordered DD's yearbook for next year and it was $73.50 and that was without the name plate. Seems a little pricey to me. What are yearbooks going for in your neighborhood?

DS's elementary yearbook (soft cover) for three grades about 400-450 kids was $15. I would expect a HS one to be more expensive, but probably not $75.

$50.00 if ordered before 12-1-10 $55.00 if ordered between 12-1-10 and 3-1-10 $65.00 if after. last year ours were terrible suppose to be better this

DD's high school yearbook cost me $86 -- $80 for the yearbook, $4 for name stamping, and $2 for protective plastic cover

$65 here if ordered before 11/1; $70 after. Personalization is $5-$10 extra depending on what you want.

I paid $75.00 for my DD's high school yearbook in 2009. Just the basic yearbook, nothing extra.

I got the notice for my son's yearbook (he's a freshman) the other day, and it's "just" $75. After I had come to, and then finished laughing myself right out of my chair, I told him he could have one when he's a senior. $75 for a yearbook is, frankly, insane.

Around $80 and we would buy an extra for us, that being my wife and me.

Here it's $55 if you order early and $60 if you wait. That is without any extras!:thumbsup2

Last year we paid $75 at another school so I was pretty happy with that!

The only year I bought a yearbook was my senior year - 2005. I paid $185 for mine. :upsidedow

Ours have been in the $75 range. I don't think we have an option for name plates or anything like that.

I think it was $80 They group it with other things or you can buy it separate but I always bought the group so I don't know for sure.

I can't imagine not buying my child's book for all 4 years.

:confused:We paid $80 for my DD's senior yearbook and when she came home with it, her picture wasn't even in it. She was in tears.:sad1: I was SO MAD!!! :headache: I called the school and talked to the yearbook teacher and she blamed it on the picture company. I called the company and they were very nice. They sent pictures to be able to be put in her yearbook and her friends yearbook, but they also said that they found that they first cd sent to the school did not have all the pictures on it so they sent another cd that had all pictures. Obviously the yearbook staff did not use the correct cd. There was a list of over 30 seniors that were "not pictured". The teacher never did accept the responsibility for the problem. I looked at each class and there was list of over 30 students for each one that were "not pictured". You would think there was a problem with that many students not having a picture.

We paid between $60 and $80 for every yearbook.

Holy cow! I think my yearbooks are $42, not including $2-3 dollars for you name on it or a cover/autograph sheets/etc. that don't cost much more. And I thought that was steep. And for $15 you can get 4 personal pages added in of just pictures you upload.

Ours are $75 and I don't think the book is even all that big, but it is all color at least.

I'm the yearbook sponsor, and our book is $48. We actually lose $5 per book that we sell, and pray that we can make it up with business ads and tributes. The economy has really hurt us because fewer people are purchasing ads, which means the book has to go up.

I graduated from high school three years ago and our yearbooks were $40 if you paid in advance and $60 once they were published. They were hardcover, full colour yearbooks. I'm surprised at how expensive some of these yearbooks are!

$75 if preordered. No extras though. DS is a freshman, and I won't spend the cash on the extra things until he's a senior.

I have all four yearbooks from when I was in HS. I just looked at the year before mine the other day. I wanted to show a picture of DS's GF's father to him.

I'm glad that I have all four years. They sit on a shelf until I want them for something, but it's nice to have when I do want to look at the old pictures. I can't remember how much they were back in the olden days, though.

DS hasn't come home with anything about the yearbooks yet. I can tell you that our 8th grade, soft-cover yearbooks came to $5.50 each this past year. They were done in full color, too. The PTSA gives them to all of the 8th graders each year. The photographer that supplied me with the software to create the books donated the finished books to us, so that was very nice of him. He told me that this year, he'll donate them again if I can get them done before the software license expires. Otherwise, we'll have to pay $250 for the license. I plan on having that completed before then.
