We won an extra hour in MGM after the park closed. We were in MGM on Saturday, Feb 24th and about to board the Star Tours ride when a DT cast Member put a bracelet on our wrists. When we asked what they were for, they said we would find out shortly. Once everyone in our que was seated in our "Flight craft" they announced we were winners of an extra magic hour in MGM.
At 9:30 that night we reported to the Indiana Jones Theater and were entertained by Mulch, Sweat and Shears - the landscaping band that performs frequently in MGM. Then Mickey and Minnie came out in their new blue dream attire and kicked off the dream magic hour for us. They kept Star tours, The Great Movie Ride, Rock n Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and The Muppet show open for us. They also had 2 showings of the Little Mermaid, and a special dance party for the little ones at the Playhouse Disney Theater. I was kind of disappointed my kids weren't along for this trip - my husband and I did a quick 4 days without them - they would've loved the dance party.
Anyhow, we were there with about 500 other dream winners. You could easily ride a ride, get off, and hop right back on. Mickey and Minnie were there, and you could just walk right up to them and get a picture without waiting.
MGM isn't my favorite park, but it was really cool to be a part of the whole special evening.
