Year of Million Dreams -- anyone else get something yet? Post your wishes won here!

My family each won the pin and lanyard sets. I was so excited.:cool1: we got 2 on Monday and 2 today. Pixie dust to everyone else.:)

I just returned from WDW on Sunday and can happily say that I was not at all disappointed by the Million Dreams promotion. Between Friday and Saturday, my sister and I won 3 prizes (and for all those concerned about whether adults will win prizes - we're both in our 20's). On Friday morning, we went to MGM in time for rope drop intending to head straight for Tower of Terror. I had a feeling that we should be in the first group on the ride. We were and I knew we were right as I saw a Dream CM clicking a counter as we walked through the turnstyles. When we entered the room to watch the video, there were two more Dream CMs waiting by the door. After the video aired and the lights came back on, they announced that they were going to make our day even better and that we had all won Dream Fastpasses. I was surprised at how many people hadn't even heard of the Million Dreams promotion. An hour later (around 10:10am), we went back to ToT to ride again and this time won the pins and lanyard set. I guess Tower of Terror is the place to be at MGM. It makes sense because the Dream Team can separate small groups easily and not be seen in front of non-winning guests.

The fun continued the next morning at MK when we received Dream Fastpasses upon exiting Peter Pan's Flight just after opening. We were probably among the first 20 people on the ride that morning. I'm not sure if it makes any difference to be there at opening, but in my experience it certainly helped. I saw another family at the MK later that day with Dream FP's and they said they got theirs at the Carousel around 9:15am.

In the end, looking out for Dream CM's didn't help us in the least, they were all hidden when we entered the lines for the attractions. And when we did spot Dream CM's elsewhere with what looked like full bags, they weren't handing out prizes and were usually playing games or talking to other CM's, probably trying to pass the time while they waited for their next dream giving opportunity. All I can recommend is to go to as many attractions as possible (since that's where they award the prizes) and show up early for the best chances. And if the prizes are awarded at any of the attractions, then statistically you'll probably have a better chance of winning at less popular attractions.

Good luck to all of those who are going soon!

I have been sending in postcards for myself, husband, and three children since November....at least 2 cards (one for myself and one for one of the other family members) each day. So far, we have won 2 pin/lanyard sets...one in January and one just today! Now......if I can just talk my husband into booking a trip to WDW....wish me luck!

Congratulations!!!! My husband won ears today. Can't wait to tell him. Sending Pixie Dust to everyone!!!!!!!

Can you please fill me in...how do you send these in, what's the process?

Sorry if its been explained, but there are alot of pages to go through and I haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks in advance.

We were at Animal Kingdom on Thursday, March 29th getting in line for the Triceratops Spin around 9:15 am and we and several other families in line won Dream Fastpasses. Very exciting!:cool1:

We were there in Feb and won Family of the hour at MGM. They took us from the entrance and straight into the Indian Jones Stunt Show and sat in VIP seats up front. It was pretty cool - we all got pins and a certificate congratulating us. The people around us kept asking us how we got to sit in those seats - one man even complained to the disney staff member seating us that it wasn't fair that we could come in right b/f the show and get to sit in front. She was very polite and tried to explain to him that we had been given the prize by the dreamteam - but he wasn't liking it. He was actually pretty rude through out the show - making comments to his family about how unfair it was periodically- but I choose to ignore him and not let him ruin our moment. His wife actually looked embarassed - I felt bad for her! And he was right behind us so his seats were not bad at all - go figure! :-)

This guy was not into the Disney Spirit. Poor him!!

We won something... was kinda nice, but kind of feel a little guilty about it at the same time.
On our 3rd day there, we were going to Animal Kingdom and the bus service was horrible... we waited 45 minutes and all the other busses came at least three times, but not one for AK. Finally asked the bell desk about it and they said there was a problem between AK and All-Star Resorts, and one should come soon. That's all they kept saying even though we kept prodding them for the story. We finally ended up taking a taxi. :sad2:
We had a fantastic day at AK even though it was packed... took the last Safari of the day and saw animals we hadn't seen before... the cheetahs were chasing each other instead of hiding in the bushes and the male lion was awake!!! :woohoo:
We left as the park closed at 7 pm, and were discussing what to do for the evening. We decided to go swimming back at the resort, and my daughter got super excited and started jumping around all over the place. I guess she caught the eye of the two "dream team" members, who approached us and asked us a bunch of questions. Then he told us that we should come with them because they arranged for transportation back to our resort... we got a whole bus just for us back to ASMo. Our driver was a Clint Eastwood "Dirty Harry" era look-alike, and we felt great about getting something unexpectedly (they even set out a red carpet in front of the bus for us as we boarded, took our pictures and gave us a certificate and special mouse ears)... we kind of felt like it made up for all of the headache on the way to AK earlier in the day... but after talking about it later, thought it was a waste of gas just to transport us on this huge 40 foot bus all by ourselves, and ironically from Animal Kingdom... :rolleyes1
So like I said, we were glad to win something but feel a little guilty about it at the same time.

Yes, I do have to say I agree with you there- I have been sending in since October, and haven't won a thing yet-- It's kind of disappointing, that some people win so many and others nothing- too bad they can't spread out the wealth a little better! :confused3

Yes, what about offering them up on the DIS boards? I am sure there are more than one DISer out there who would gladly give you the shipping and handling to get a set of ears or lanyards! :)

Just FYI, I gave two pair of ears to a major teen-aged Disney fan recovering from Hodgkin's lymphoma so that he and his best friend can have them for his Make-A-Wish trip on DCL this week.

So, you see, there is much spreading of the joy around. Sometimes, it's just done very, very quietly...;)

The first day of our trip we headed to EPCOT - My mom went to go get the group fastpasses for Soarin' while everyone else went to ride Test Track. She was sitting on the boat and a CM asked who's idea it was to ride The Land as there first ride of the day. Well my mom jokingly said she was (since that is her favorite ride!) and the CM says to the boat that they can thank her because everyone was about to receive Dream Fastpasses.
As they are passing those out - My brother frantically calls my mom and is telling her that he was receiving a Dream Fastpass. He wanted to ride Soarin' for his first ride! Everyone that was standing in line to ride Soarin' were receiving the Dream Fastpasses.

When I was visiting WDW in Feb. my family was headed to the rope drop at AK and out of no where a CM came and asked us how many were in our party. We told him 9, he stops to think for a second and tells us to follow him. He pulls us aside and tell us that we get to be the family that holds the rope behind the bus to Kilimanjaro Safari. We were super excited even though we wanted to ride Expedition Everest first - we would settle for Kilimanjaro Safari since most of the animals would be awake! Anyways - the bus with Minnie, Donald, and Goofy came out and we were told that when it was time the bus would start to drive off and would we have to hold the rope behind it to guide the rest of the people the Kilimanjaro Safari. We walked all the way down and were told to follow the CM through the fastpass line. We got to ride on the first train! We also received a certificate reminding us of our fun!

That same day - My youngest brother wanted to ride Triceratop Spin. So we go stand in line and the Dream Team comes and lets us know that we were in the right spot at the right time and we were receiving the dream ears. My brother was so excited!

Has anyone sent in postcards that are PRINTED, by computer, and gotten anything? I know early on, when the rules were first posted, there was a lot of talk about the wording

"...eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3.5"x5" postcard ..."

I'm assuming this means non-handwritten entries will be disqualified? That doesn't seem to apply to address labels, does it? TIA!

Hi all just a quick question, if anyone knows......In the contest rules of about The Year Of A Million Dreams, can people who work for the Disney Store participate, ( I know there no longer owned by disney), just wanted to know. As I have been mailing in postcards, and didn't want to continue if this was the case. Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but here's the official low-down. It's hard for me to tell, from this, if Disney Store employees are "on-site...employees of any commercial establishment at the Disney Properties." Sounds like maybe that would be World of Disney Stores at the parks?

I LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THINGS LIKE THAT! :sunny: It helps to know there are lots of good people out there- sometimes, it just doesn't seem like it! I applaud:cheer2: :cool1: for your generosity!:thumbsup2

This might sound weird but where do you get post cards? I asked the post office and they said they don't sell them and I didn't see them at walmart. Thanks Lisa
