Our newspaper had a special section devoted to babies where parents could post pix of their little guys.

I know how much you all enjoy unusual names. Here's my favorite:

Thunder Maximus Malone (who coincidentally is the brother of Storm.)

A close second is Shymeyr

(My apologies to anyone who has used the Weather Channel as the inspiration for naming their child.) :thumbsup2

Can't you just hear their mother yelling for them........."ThunderStorm...."

My dh used to make fun of my watching soaps, in particular The Bold and The Beautiful. See he thought Ridge and Thorn were really dumb names but at least they were Soap Opera Names!

I will never forget one from my job in the late 60's... I tell Regina this one all the time.. it was You-Me Hatch.....yup that was the name..

As soon as I stop laughing, I will resume drinking my coffee.:coffee:

I wonder how much thought went into this one?:rotfl:

Now that's just asking for it! I think the same thing when I hear people naming their son Chase.

My husband used to have an intern named Hugh Wang. That one still cracks me up. :lmao:

At least it wasn't Gluteus Maximus...........

When we were at DL in Sept. there was a CM at the exit gates and his name was ph***et. He was Asian and I'm not sure how it was pronounced. But, we couldn't help but have a giggle over that one. DD14 kept trying to get me to go back and take a pic of his name tag.

eta~ oops, the filter got that one. The other letters are uck in case ya can't figure it out.

When the tsunami hit, this was a towns name over there, and when I would see it on the news I would always giggle, but never knew how to pronounce it.

I watched a movie on HBO about the tsunami and learned the pronounciation, pucket, sounds liked bucket.

AH!! Thank you!

I was just telling DH and he said that the guys name didn't have the et on the end. Probably still pronounced puck though. It still made for a nice giggle. ;)

Actually, the correct pronunciation of Phuket is (poo-ket) or sometimes I have heard (poo-get)

DH & I worked with a young man who'd immigrated from India. His name was another that wouldn't get by the filters here...A****. "Poop" is a euphemism for the missing letters.

After attempting to avoid calling him by name, we all took to calling him A-sheet. He told us that was not the correct pronunciation. :lmao: However, only his fellow countrymen could pronounce it correctly with a straight face so he ended up letting us slide. ;)

I didn't even think of when they combine the names, LOL. I picture a beautiful, clear, blue sky kind of day with the Mom yelling "ThunderStorm." I would imagine anyone nearby would think she was a bit nutz. :confused3

My oldest Child is Chip. When I was carrying him, the soon to be grandparents were coming up with boy names. Since both grand dads had boys named after them, they decided to try the middle names. Clark Kent did not hang with me!:scared:

Then when I was expecting #2, they were sure I would want to name a boy "Dale"... as in the Rescue Rangers. The only thing I could picture was the expression on the neighbors faces as I called "Chip n Dale, come eat"!!:lmao: :rolleyes1
