Wow, congratulations! I wish the best for you and the soon to be little one!

Congratulations! Good idea to cancel. I spend a week of my first pregency throwing up all over Disney World. It got so bad that DH had to get me a wheel chair to keep going because I was not giving up my Disney vacation. The only good part was that I was so pathetic that I got bumped up to the front on several rides.

Here's wishing you a safe and healthy pregnency!

Congratulations and God Bless you and your Family during this happy time!!
:cloud9:

Congratulations on the new coming addition - So happy to see another little one coming into welcoming arms - God's blessings be with you and yours
always
Shirley

Congratulations and good luck through your pregnancy. I like the idea of brainwashing child in womb!!

God Bless!

Congratulations, I also would be happy to cancel, you need to spend that money on the nursery YEAH.............

Congrats from another been there done that grad. I know how thrilled you must be! Take care of yourself and the little one and happy and healthy 9 months to you.

I also like the brainwashing idea! LOL :Pinkbounc :cool1: :jumping4: :cheer2:

Congratulations and enjoy your new bundle of joy!!! :cloud9:

Congratulations and best wishes for your new little family! :wizard:

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes!! I did wait until I was 14 weeks, had 2 sonograms, and could hear a nice strong heartbeat before I cancelled. Dh wants to wait until the baby is at least 3 before we go on a Disney trip. He thinks it'll be easier then. But I don't think I can wait that long!! I'm trying to convince him to go earlier. Any advice from those who have done it both ways?

As for brainwashing...I was already planning to slip a few WDW songs in with the Mozart when I start playing music for it! ;)

Thanks again!!

In May, just before our son's second birthday, he will be going to WDW for the second time. (This doesn't count the trip to WDW where he...ahem..."began his existance" ;) ) This trip will just be a couple days before the three of us get on the Magic for two weeks to head through the Panama canal and to California. We have taken trips to WDW about once every year and a half since we were married, and while touring with an 8 month old is a different experience than touring as a couple, it was still a great trip.

Here is how I would decide:
- If you take Disney trips on a regular basis, then go with your infant/toddler. It isn't your first trip, so you won't feel the need to "see everything", and it also won't be your last trip, so you don't have to worry about your baby "enjoying and remembering" the trip. (Also, until they are 3, they are free for most things, so the cost of your trip won't change much)
- If, on the other hand, you only take a Disney trip once every 5-10 years, then I would wait until your child is a bit older to make the most of the few times you can take the trip.

Remember, life doesn't stop just because you have a new member of the family. You should continue to enjoy life for the next few years, and not put all fun experinces on hold until some later date.

Edited to add:
On our first trip to WDW with him, we took some grandparents along. This gave us the opportunity to do a few things by ourselves, but looking back on it, I don't think it necessarily made the trip "easier". You have to deal with your baby on a daily basis anyway, dealing with them on a trip to WDW is not much more difficult.

Normally, I would be crying because of having to cancel a wonderful Disney cruise but this time I'm so happy to cancel because I have a great reason!!!

After years of trying, oh so fun tests, and major surgery...I'm Pregnant!!!!

Sorry but I just had to share the news! DH and I are already planning this little one's first trip to WDW!!

Congrats!! I went through the same for my beautiful sons. Do you have more than one on the way?? I highly recommend the twin route! Take care of your little miracle.

I have three girls and the oldest is 8. she has been to WDW 8 times. Her first time she was 9 months old. She still had a great time. To see her face light up when she saw the light parade at night was priceless.

Also congrats on the new baby. I wish you nothing but happiness.

Congratulations! We took our youngest at 14 months for the benefit of her older sister, but I think the 14 month old had an even better time! I think it was the happiest week of her life. And remember, it is actually much easier while they are still in strollers-once they start running around (and putting in their 2 cents about what they will and won't do)-watch out!

Enjoy your pregnancy!

I agree, don't wait. My dd is 2 1/2 and has been to WDW 2 times and we just were on the 11/23 Magic. Although, I didn't enjoy the cruise as much as WDW. I will wait to go on another cruise until she is older, but the parks are great! She was 14 mos her first trip and had a blast! We just went with the flow, fed her when she needed to eat, let her sleep in her stroller when she wanted to sleep. We did go to the room at a certain time each night to make sure she went to sleep at a normal time. She would wake up each morning and push her stroller into the hotel room door shouting GO! She was ready for Mickey and Minnie! LOL We had so much fun that we had her 2nd birthday at WDW this past May. Again, she had a blast! She took her autograph book to the characters, ran all over the place, and just smiled and laughed the whole time! WE hope to go back for her 3rd bday. Not sure yet, but I would say if your little one is an easy traveler go for it! Enjoy it while she/he is free! LOL

Congrats again!

From one pregnant person to another CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I will send many positive belly rubs your way!! I am due in a couple weeks and I plan on getting my little one to WDW and on a Disney Cruise as soon as possible. My other two DD's went when they were teeny tiny. They may not remember, but I do!! Best wishes to you and I can't think of any better reason to cancel a cruise!!! :cheer2:

YEAH for you! Good luck with everything. Minnie and Mickey make nice names, right? lol
