Hi from the long lost cheerleader!
Just a quick note as I dash out the door to work, cause I wanted to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I certainly count each and everyone of you on the list of things I am greatful for.

I will not be cooking, instead,we are dining at my daughter's home after work again this year (hence--the reason for her late dinner--me) .
I did make a couple of side dishes last night after I got home to take to her, but, that's it. I really appreciate her offer to cook for us again. 2 years ago, my H and I didn't have Thanksgiving, because we both had to work--him the night before, me 7am-7pm that day (while he slept). I certainly did miss having turkey that year.Now, I never refuse when Michelle says she'll cook!

good morning cheerleaders!!! happy thanksgiving to everyone!!! just wanted to drop in and say thanks for welcoming me into your little circle here even though you've never even met me before...you guys are in for a treat once my "wild" side makes it's debut!

we're not cooking here...driving up to ft wayne to my parent's house for dinner. trying to wake up hubby so we can get moving though...we'll be staying overnight there tonight and then braving the early morning cold and crowds for a few of them deals. there's really only 2 things that we are trying to snag...a mechanic's tool set for my brother and i have something for hubby that i want to get...anyone else braving the crowds?

it's very cold here too...we have a light dusting of snow still on the ground but that's it. thank goodness that we have a carport for our car...we don't have to scrape the windows!!!

well since hubby's not moving, i guess i have to give in and make him some coffee...everyone have a safe and happy turkey day!!!

oh yeah...and welcome back sue!! you've certainly been missed around here!!

if I had one wish offered to me right now.....or one thing that I want to do, that would come true.....it would be that all of us here could get together..... including you Brandie and spend an evening at AC at WDW. I have never been there but I have heard good things and to do it with all of you would be fun!! thats an understatement...we'd probably get thrown out..haha
I know its near impossible for everyone to get there at the same time with everyone's different schedules but i hope some day...it will happen

even if I have to wait till my kids graduate

Now off to stop by some friends and then to my family's house for Thanksgiving Dinner.

The last three years we were at the World for Thanksgiving, so being home seems kind of strange...hehehe

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have my Turkey in the oven, my pies are done, Kevin is working on the deviled eggs, and everything smells great! Can't wait for dinner! Now, I'm gonna go take a nap since I was up late making cookies and casseroles and such then had to get up way too early so my Dad could come get my nephews to take to my grandparents. Now, it is finally quiet here (one dog= two little boy=alot of noise!) so I'm gonna take advantage of the quiet. Talk to ya'll soon!

I really want to go shopping tomorrow ...DD is going off to visit with her father's family and DH is going hunting. Since he will be rattling around the house at 5 am I might as well get up and go to JC Penney at 6 and get my Disney Snowglobe
But...I have NO list and no idea what to get anyone...and it gives me a headache wandering around crowded stores being unorganized and still looking for inspiration. Maybe I'll just grab the snowglobe and come home and go back to bed hehehe

Do any of you have atificial Christmas trees? I swore I would NEVER...but the last few years I've been so not "into" the season for some reason...and DD is past the stage of thinking it's fun to trek out to the cut-your-own farm and debate for an hour or so which one we want. DH never thought it was fun but tolerated it for me (us)........I don't know.....I may just look at the fake ones and get a scented candle too hehehehe

I have always been so fussy about my tree. We would hunt for hours looking for the perfect one. But over the last few years...trekking up and down and over the hills looking for the PERFECT TREE has been getting tiring and i'm ready to say...I'm getting to old for this, time for a fake one but Jerry says no it has to be real. SO as long as he insists on real, I'll insist on PERFECT.....so Saturday morning I'll be searching for hours for the perfect tree
unless I luck out like last year. I swear 20 minutes was all it took and there it was....THE PERFECT TREE no kidding 20 minutes NEVER will I be so lucky again AND that tree was the best tree we had ever had

Happy shopping day! Actualy. i'd rather be asleep right now but somehow Mom convinced me to get up and go to Target for her so she could go to some other store and get the stuff she wants to just about finish up her shoping so here I am. I think I may have to go to Penney's too if possible, would really like the snowglobe!

I'm up and ready to go...can't believe it, 6 a.m. on a day off.
I'm actually late, doors opened at 6

now JCP is on one end of the mall....where I get my snow globe and Sears is on the other end where I get 60% off of some tools so what to do, what to do?
Then I got it an idea......I dragged Jerry out of bed too

He can drop me at JCP where I'll get the sno globe and he can drive over to Sears and I told him to RUN IN WITH ALL THE OTHER CRAZED WOMEN and grab the tools Of course this is the look I'm getting from him

I told him...think of it as hunting

actually I need to buy very large item and I need his truck which I don't like to drive...too BIG.....otherwise I really wouldn't have put him thru this

Happy bargain day
