Yea!!! I jus bought my Homecoming Bid!!!

2 weeks and counting till Homecoming!!!!! I CANT WAIT!! Today after school is when freshman bought bids. It was $50 bucks but me & steve split it 25 each. The bids are sooo pretty the theme is "ever after" so its a picture of a cinderella-like castle. Plus, they gave every1 a white photo album that says "homecoming 2002 ever after" I am soooo excited!! I cant wait!!!

OMG im sorry! My school is the only schools thats calls them bids....Bids are tickets-- or rather 2 tickets. Its like a 'couple' thing. A lot of ppl i kno are spliting the bids w/ friends. they dont ness have to be boy/girl.
yea $50 is a lot, but i am only paying 25. Theres the cost of the dj, food, the bids themselves, etc... Our schools dances are expensice.. My sisters prom bid was $80... and it was just at our school!

WOW, that is pretty expensive!! Our homecoming tickets (bids) prices are $15 with an ASB card, and $18 without. I haven't bought mine yet, but because i am in ASB i get mine for a discount price of..... $8!!! GO ME!

OMG that is alot! our bids for homecoming at 25 a couple and 15 for a single... and i thought that was alot! but for prom RIGHT NOW the price for bids i think are 150 $ a bid! but that is what it is every year... so i know it WILL go down! Lats year they got the bids down to $20.02 a bid!

wow, tickets for our homecoming dance are like $3 for couples and $2 for singles. Thats alot for a homecoming dance to me! But I bet yalls are alot different than our dance!

We get a keychain for a ticket, a DJ and free drinks! also the decrations (sp?)

Our Homecoming was last night.. and it was awesome! Our theme was One Moment in Time.. We set up like ALL day yesterday (but I was only there for a little b/c of SATs ), and the gym and hall to the gym looked amazing!

Our tickets were $12.. $10 with a student activity card, and $10 if you participated in a Walk-a-thon we had.. At the door, there were $15, and then $13 w/ an SA card or walk-a-thon thing.. For Homecoming, we call them tickets.. and for Junior Dinner and Prom, we call them bids. Our Junior Dinner tickets were $45 each.. so couples paid $90.. And it was at a country club in our town, so it was worth it.

We don't get anything for Homecoming.. b/c it's not really a big deal.. like compared to Junior Dinner or Prom. Student Council was responsible for bringing the food, so we didn't lose or gain any money with that. And we just took $$ from our treasury for decorations and the DJ.. So we still made an awesome profit.

I can't wait until I get my pictures back!!!

We basically just go to the dance for 45 mins (if that long). The gym isnt decorated alot, and you can buy drinks and pictures if you want. We have ours after the game, so its really hard for the football players, cheerleaders, and band kids to get to the dance for a long time. So if the tickets cost $15 or so, alot of people wouldnt pay that because its not worth five mins of dancing!

Prom is like $45 a person, but you only have to pay once to go to it both years.

With our tickets you get the ticket that you bring to the dance, and then there is a formal invatation that you can keep for scrapbooks or whatever. Then the money we make off of tickets helps pay for decorations, the DJ, and other stuff. PTSA is in charge of food so ASB doesn't have to worry about it. Tickets prices i allready said!
