We need your help.....My DH and I love the polynesian, however each time we go we like to try a new resort except this time were having a hard time not staying at the POLY again. The YC is the next resort we wanted to try but unsure if the YC is worth it. We like to smiw and have a few cocktails by the pool...if we stay at the YC do we have to go all the way down to the BC part to go get a cocktail at hurricane hanna's??

are we making a good choice to try the YC over the POLY??? :confused3

Try YC!! We loved it. It is not far at all to sit by the pool and have a drink!!
The BC and YC are connected and the pool is right in the middle. In fact at the YC you are closer to the dock where the boat picks you up also.
We loved the YC and have been thinking of trying Poly one of these days but we are kind of going through the same thing as you . Will we like it? will things be as close? etc...
We had excellent service at the YC and the rooms were wonderful. We could not have asked for more.

Thanks for the input...you will not be disapointed with the poly....There's nothing like coming back to the poly resort at night and seeing the castle changing colors, seeing wishes from the beach area, great acess to both monorails and last but not least, the volcano pool.

You will not be disapointed...my DH and I were reluctant to try it...we wanted the YC but it was booked out so we decided to try the poly and we loved it!!! :cool1:

We've stayed at both and prefer the YC. The big pools are in the middle, not at the BC. If you like jacuzzis at all, you will love how many there are.

Usually, there are servers bringing drinks to people at the pool -- you don't even have to walk to Hurricane Hannah's.

We've stayed at both resorts and we love both resorts. However, we give a very slight edge to the Yacht Club for two reasons. The first reason is location. If a majority of your time is going to be spent at Epcot and/or MGM, it's perfect. The second reason is SAB. SAB is the nicest pool on property. You won't be disappointed. :)

We'll be staying at the YC for the third time in 29 days !!! Last Dec., we stayed at the Poly because of a SOG overflow rate we got (My son-in-law is in the Army). It was nice, but was lacking in some of the things that attract me to the YC.

Of the two, YC is most certainly my favorite. Walking distance to Epcot and Boardwalk is a big, big plus to me. We have spent many a night er-ummm walking from Jellyrolls. :cool1: Also, the hot tubs near the quiet pool are lovely.

Wait staff will indeed serve drinks at SAB, so no problem there.

The YC is a wonderful resort with a great location, a super pool and wonderful amenities. I can't imagine that you would be disappointed by staying there (have stayed there 10 times and never had any major issues). You may end up liking the Poly more, but YC is certainly worth a try if you want to experience a new resort.

Also, as others have said, Hurricane Hannah's is set up in the middle of SAB - it is neither closer to BC or YC. Thus, it's not a long way to go to get a drink (to say nothing of the servers that will come to you if that is your desire).

Do both! We couldn't decide either, so we're doing a split stay. :teeth:
