YC renovations - update.. concierge opening soon!

As most of you know, The Yacht & Beach club began extensive interior renovations on July 1st. They began with the YC concierge level, and upon completion, will continue to do one floor at a time at the Yacht club, and then move on to the Beach Club.

For all of you who were worried about the concierge floor not being finished by your trips - have no fear!!!!
The concierge floor at the YC will be re-opened to guests on July 14th! They had told me they were going to move quickly, and they were right!

The lounge has been completely redone, and made larger, the rooms have all new furniture, and new decors. The YC is keeping with the red and blue color scheme. The rooms will all have a beautiful red chair with little anchors on them! The art is going to be huge beautiful nautical/beach scenes.

cant wait to stay there again, and see the finished product! It is going to be more amazing than before

Hi Laura!

Do you have any other information about the renovation and if it is an eyesore or not? Go figure--I called CRO AND the resort directly a week ago and they told me nothing was being done. UGH!

I read the transcripts of the Chat with the YC/BC Gen. Manager, and he said the entire YC/BC will be done by Oct. Then, they'll start on the BC, which should be done by Feb.

The new room decor sounds wonderful! I love the blue and red nautical theme!!! Will all the rooms be decorated like this, or only concierge? I know when we stayed in concierge last year, the decor was about the same as the other floors.
This really gets me psyched to redecorate! I have so many lighthouses, nautical artwork and boats I've picked up to display in my house if I can ever get started!

Hopefully someone who stays in concierge after the 14th can post a picture of the new decor!!!!

Thanks so much for the info! We are hoping to get to the YC in November. DH wanted to be sure the concierge area would be done.

You should book your trip now. If any discounts come out between now and the time of your trip, you can alway call and re-book.

I highly recommend using Dreams Unlimited. They really do a great job in keeping their eyes open for discounts.

Hi everyone,
They should take only 2-3 weeks per floor, then on to the BC! so, October sounds right.
I dont know if the decor will be exactly the same in the standard rooms as the concierge rooms, or if they will be slightly different as they previously were.
I'll try to find out next week, and I'll post for sure!
